I was food shopping this afternoon when House came on their music system. So engrossed in listening to it that I forgot about shopping. For Sunday lunch I've only bought some Lincolnshire sausages and strawberries.

Initial thoughts are Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Oxford, and London. I'll have to think about Edinburgh and Bournemouth.
I hope also PW will go to The Netherlnds, and / or Belgium. I need an excuse to take a holiday.

A yellowbelly is someone who was born in Lincolnshire, UK., as I was in 1945, which makes me 66 a few days before Patrick's 28th birthday. 66 will appear quite old to some people, but I prefer to think that I'm just 'older' rather than 'old'.

I hope to win a place but accommodation in London is cheaper if you can book in advance.

I aim to do something; don't know what yet. He gives so much to me through his songs and presence, that I want to give him something in return.

Calvin Klein briefs, grey jeans, two black t shirts, one long sleeved, a woolen scarf, a black AA hoody - I'm a bit cold, sat with my back to the fire -, black socks, and black DM shoes.

Thanks for sharing, Andy. Thelka is a good, intimate venue, and the day started well when some of the band / stage crew waved at me as I passed the Thelka on the way from the station to the Ibis hotel.
Then a brilliant performance by Patrick and his band, and Rowdy Superstar.
Then right at the end a shout-out from Patrick to me made not only my day but my year.
Meeting Patrick afterwards was the icing on the cake. I also chatted with some of the band and Rowdy S.
I enjoyed Koko, Dublin, Nottingham, Birmingham and Manchester as well.

I met 3 Italians, and 3 Germans, but no French people. I suspect there were fans from many nations. I enjoyed all the shows I went to, especially Bristol - because it was an intimate venue with good sound, and, I have to be honest, because Patrick gave me a shout out, and I met him afterwards.
Koko was a much larger venue but also an intimate gig. I started at the front, behind the barrier, but by the time many of those who had a photography pass had squeezed by me I'd been pushed in front of the barrier, but to one side by the speakers, but was unable to stand upright, leaning against some heavy curtains.
During the first couple of songs by Rowdy Superstar I had wonderful vibrations running up my right leg because of the closeness of the speakers, but decided to move before Patrick came on. I found a niche in the wall a few rows back where I could stand without being in anyone's way. I was unable to see Victoria and Nick.
Koko is special to Patrick, and it was a brilliant evening, but he, and his band and crew, gave their all at every show I went to.
(Sorry zurich80 this is not meant to be an objective review)

Duh. Thanks tomboy. Sorry I was so thick. Put it down to my age / lack of knowledge of these things - I just like the music.

Manchester was the 8th time I've seen PW, and the 4th this week. Patrick has not sung the same set-list at these last 4 gigs. I think zurich80's judging someone by their appearance is totally uncalled for. I did think it strange that the sound desk was on the stage at Manchester. Ideally a sound desk should be where the audience are.
Because I'm very tall I try not to block anyone's view. I used to stand at the back, but now tend to stand one side of the stage, near the front. Although I couldn't see all the musicians the sound coming out of the speakers was generally well balanced..
At times I found the drummer was loud, but don't agree with the view about the new 'girl'. My sole cristicism was that I couldn't hear the words when Patrick sang "Together", the musicians were louder than he was, but that's down to the sound engineer rather than the individual musicians. If I had known the words it may have been better.
He did play "House" at Nottingham, and my sister, who'd not even heard of PW 3 weeks before the gig, not only told me that she wanted to hear him again, but she was singing the lyrics to House on the drive back to Lincoln.

I was beginning to worry about my Dublin ticket, which also hasn't arrived. I have all my other tickets (Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol and London), including an extra one I recently bought for Nottingham as I'm now taking my sister.
I must get my travel and accommodation sorted soon.

I don't have a cold right now, though I do get them, and then I have to be very careful . While most people can shake off a cold in a few days mine easily turn into chest infections, and when they do I need to get a course of antibiotics from the doctor. I am asthmatic and am on inhalers permanently. I have an emergency course of steroids with me in case my breathing gets bad during the night or when I can't get antibiotics easily.
While I don't have a cold, I haven't had a sense of smell since December 2007. This is due to scar tissue after I had nasal polyptectomies, and solidified gunge blocking my olfactory nerves.

Of the 3 gigs I went to, I hink I enjoyed Guildford the best, but part of the reason for that was seeing someone in the audience. It was a very small venue, but oddly shaped. For the London gig I was at the side near the front for the main show, and then went to the back ready to get out just before the encore - I had to get a train back to Guildford. Many at the back seemd to be enjoying themselves but they didn't seem to aprticipate as those in the front did.

I wasn't as observant as you when I ordered my Dublin ticket. I just assumed that all venues are standing, rather than sitting. I fond sitting difficult because of my extrmely long legs.

There are a few of us going to all 3 gigs. I'm the easiest to spot - 6' 7" tall, specs, balding grey / silver hair, 65 years old.
I hope the regulars and Wolfies come to speak with me.
