Many years ago, before Patrick released Lupercalia, he gave out some postcard sized photos of himself. I promised to send one to a Y Ritter. I have the address then. It included the number 166. While tidying up I found an addressed envelope with the postcard in, which I never sent. Does anyome know if it's still the right address? I may send it in any case as I have an address, but young people move around much more than older ones - I've been in my house 34 years

I just hope there's enough legroom. I don't normally go to seated gigs, as I have extraordinary log legs.

I haven't read all the posts in this thread, yet. Am I a stereotypical fan? umm. My gig visits have been restricted by my looking after a formerly homeless young person, he's now 19, and now his girlfriend also, and both my cat (Mr Tiddles Wolfie) and their kitten (Millie).
I shall be at The Lowry tonight if all goes well. I have a streaming cold, and having just been to the doctors for a fasting blood test, I have a suit on also. It's clean, which my jeans aren't so I wont be changing.
But I'm sure I'll be singing along with the songs if not vocally.
I'll read this thread when I get back.

I decided I need to treat myself. The lad I'm looking after, and his girlfriend, can look after the kitten (Millie), and my cat (Mr. Tiddles Wolfie - twitter account Mister_T_Wolfie, I kid you not) while I see Patrick at Salford. I'm far back in Row N in the stalls but hey ho, I'll be there, or at least I've bought a ticket and plan to be there.

I just don't know what to do. Being a seated tour I have the legroom problem - extremely long legs (38" inside leg). Then there's my cat. I can't leave him overnight. He's a 1 - person cat. I think I will have to miss this tour because I don't fancy driving back, even from Salford.

Unfortunately I shall only be able to get to Salford, as it's driving distance from West Yorkshire. I can't stay overnight anywhere as I now have a cat (Mr. Tiddles Wolfie). He's a 1-person cat, so I won't put him in a cattery.

Well it came in the post this morning. I'm juggling listening to it, getting dressed (it is Saturday), and looking after my kitten which has gone outside, but comes back every 5 minutes to make sure I'm still here.
Of course the only 2 songs I recognise are Together and Jerusalem.
Really need to sit down and listen to it properly. and find my PC to mp3 player cable. Like it so far.

The BlackBerry network would be down, so I didn't receive the email on my BlackBerry automatically forwarded from my email provider, and I've only just checked my emails on my PC. Such is life.
Amazing all 6 emails from different senders came through at 10.03 to my BlackBerry I have met Patrick before so if I'm not successful I'll just wait until he comes out at the end of the show. My kitten will have to wait for me to come home that night.

Since I ordered tickets for Patrick's autumn tour I have unexpectedly given home to a kitten. As I don't want to leave it for more than an evening I now have 1 ticket to each of 3 shows to GIVE away -but please don't put them on eBay.
The shows are at Edinburgh, Brighton, and London. From memory the Brighton ticket is to pick up from the box office, having my credit/debit card to hand. I'm sure there is a way round this, especially as I'm giving the ticket away and not selling it.
Please message me if you're interested in having any of the tickets,
Clive.
(The kitten has an odd name. The person who persuaded me to have it wanted it called Mr. Tiddles. I wanted it called Wolfie. So it is called Mr. Tiddles Wolfie. I think both Mr. Tiddles and Wolfie have literary connotations, although the Wolfie part was named after someone we all know.
SEPTEMBER 20th I now have homes for all these 3 tickets.

What made (up) my day was not all that made my day:
1. A good rail journey back on Grand Central trains to Bradford. and then it went pear-shaped:
2. A Council enforcement officer ringing me to say somebody had dumped waste on a Millennium Green of which I'm the only active trustee. We're having a site meeting tomorrow.
3. A homeless lad I've been supporting (he's now in a Foyer), wanted me to meet him to discuss his relationship problems. As someone who's NEVER had a relationship, I'm probably the worst person to ask, but tried to help him.
4. Just as I have the next week planned, visiting my home county of Lincolnshire (it's that time of the year), and trapping moths at a Lincolnshire site, my whole world turned up-side down when a friend successfully urges me to take in a 7 week old kitten which has been attacked by its mother. So I can't let it out for a month until it gets used to its new home, so I'm not going to Lincolnshire. After by last cat (Mary Ann Desraeli - Dizzy for short) died I said I'd never have another. That was about 12 years ago.
So those things made up my day; only time will tell if they made my day.

That's brilliant, Kayleigh. I've uploaded some photos to my PC, just working out how to upload them to the Wolfboard. (Later) I've worked out I have to upload them to Photobucket, but it's being a pain. (Even later) Now uploaded to Photobucket. (Even later still) Have sent Kayleigh copies. I'm moth trapping tonight so have to get stuff ready. Will be back when I can get - probably 11.30pm. (Even later) I've put them on Facebook, and they can be seen here: www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1779887143957.2090961.1442763206I went outside to load my car and it's a dark, windy, and wet night, so will have to trap another night.

I REALLY am looking forward to this. If I have time I'm going to the former baths / Lynn Boxing Club on Wells Way, Camberwell, to see if I can see the mosaic of the Camberwell Beauty butterfly, which was formerly on the factory of Samuel Jones & Co, envelope manufacturers.

Well I've been successful. I've sent a PM to one person in case they want my +1.
(later) They do want my spare ticket, so shall have it.

I normally wear shirts or t-shirts and jeans, but today I look a bit like the man from Del Monte. I have camel coloured cotton trousers and a blue shirt. (and socks, shoes, and underwear). I've been visiting car dealers to see what makes / models I can fit in. I'd like to drive a Citroen C1, or C3, or a Toyota Auris, or a VW Polo, but they didn't think of long-legged single people when they made them. I can't even fit in a Toyota Prius. I can fit in a Seat Leon, and perhaps a Seat Ibiza.

Sorry, I've failed to do what I'd hoped to have done for PW. He'll get mine after one of his October / November gigs. I've had a fraught spring.
Thanks to Kayleigh for all her organisation and sorting this all out.

After further thought I've bought tickets for Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Brighton, and London. I may be buying a new car this year so any Dutch/Belgian holiday will have to wait until next year.

This year I decided not to go to any gigs, as I MUST get on with improving my house and garden. I bought a ticket for Leeds Festival, having been the previous 3 years, but have now sold it.
However I have made an exception. That guy called Patrick Wolf. I'll be seeing him a few times in the autumn. As for the house and garden to date there is no noticeable improvement.

Yellowbelly because I was born in Lincolnshire. 1945 because I was born in 1945.

1. Getting the email about Patrick's autumn tour. 2. Going for a long walk in St. Ives ( a hilly country park near Bingley in West Yorkshire).
