So I had a browse there and didn't find a similar thread but I thought it would be fun to explain to one another why your username is your username and what it means (unless it's obvious!) And if your username is your name, how come you just decided to go with that? I'll go first...(obviously) My username is schizoeclectic because a couple of years ago I was listing off my favourite artists to someone and he goes ''Wow! Schizo much'' and I said ''Well eclectic but whatever'' Then a few days later I came across a site where they described something as being 'schizoeclectic' I was like 'Wow, that's a word' It's basic meaning is something that has crazy variety. I liked that term and thought it summed me up as I have a very eclectic/random taste with everything! My favourite singers, films etc It just kinda became my username on everything (But my real name is Damien)

I never use my real name as a username. No idea why I did it here. It just felt right and still feels right

Well, that's my name, i didn't really know why i choose it. I too wasn't used to use my real name as username, but didn't have any username ideas when i signed in, and didn't want to use my 'usual' username as i didn't like it much anymore, so i thought why not using my real name?

My username is lastgoodbye after the Jeff Buckley song Last Goodbye. It had been part of my hotmail email for a few years before I joined here, but I removed the "x"'s because I wasn't eleven anymore. (I do still use that email address though )

My username is 'xxsecretrosexx', which whenever I think about it makes me cringe because it reminds me of being 11 {or 14...} again. Not fun. I changed it to Rosie The Red because of you guys! When people on the wolfboard started calling me Rosie it became my kind of... alter-ego? I know use the name on almost every site/subscription I've joined since. Or if you want the completely made up more interesting version of why my name's now Rosie The Red, I once wrote this poem to explain it to somebody. Once I heard from a little bird, Of a terrifying man named Blackbeard, With a heart of ice and a head of lice, He quickly became the most feared.
Pillaging seas to the whistling breeze, Stormwinds powered his black sails, And many a man, who ventured from land, Fell foe to his cat o' nine tails.
But disbelieving was I, and ever so sly, I worked my way into his ranks, And soon I learned that what I had heard, Should never be given such thanks.
For as I neared the heart of Blackbeard, I knew he was misunderstood, Raised in the alleys, he took to the galleys, To do for himself what he could.
And thus this man, became part of my plan, He worked his way into my head, Now pirates we are, travelling near and far, Blackbeard and Rosie The Red! Not the best poem ever by far but it still amuses me, just don't think to hard when you're reading it or you'll notice the horrible metre and awkward rhythms/rhymes. xD

A yellowbelly is someone who was born in Lincolnshire, UK., as I was in 1945, which makes me 66 a few days before Patrick's 28th birthday. 66 will appear quite old to some people, but I prefer to think that I'm just 'older' rather than 'old'.

to be honest, there was just no space left for the missing "I"... and i guess I'm mumbling quite often anyway, so I'm missing quite a few "I"s while talking, too. :/

fenoloftaleina is a polish name for a chemical substance which I had to memorise for school a couple of years ago and I figured out that the quickest way of doing it is making it my nickname. What a great idea. Not only do I remember it, I am able to type it in under 2 seconds.

^That is the best reason for a username I've ever heard! If only I could have a few hundred usernames to get me through exams

fea is one of the nicknames for Elphaba in Gregory Maguire's 'The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West' which I was pretty obsessed with when I was 13. It's been my nickname ever since...

We called it Fifi in high school XD (it's phénolphtaléine in French so we just used the Greek letter for "ph" to abbreviate.... φφ!)

I'm doing my chemistry homework at the moment {well... trying to, you can probably tell by the fact I'm here that it's not going very well!} and that indicator is a part of the question, haha. I hope we don't have to learn it because at the moment I'm just recognising it as the long unpronouncable word, like I do with odd-sounding character names in books.

Well... Fifi would be also cuter for an username... Oh well too late. Why didn't they teach us to shorten the impossible words?! At least I ended up with a cool username. 8)
