Maybe i'll see you at Beacons then I wanted to go to Lovebox (any excuse to go to London ) but it would have worked out far too expensive having to come down the day before. I couldn't wait for him to come back up here so i booked the most affordable festival he was doing I think it's quite small so it should be really good (small gigs are always the best ) And I'm really excited i get to go to an acoustic show ;D

I'm hoping to get to Beacons, or Summer Sundae depending on how much day tickets turn out to be. Fingers crossed anyway! The Austria show's on my birthday which would be AMAZING, but obviously I'd have to figure out some way of getting there

That would be so cool (But yeah it might be a bit difficult getting there ) I'm hoping for a UK tour starting in Glasgow on the 21st of October... it could happen! But i saw him the day after my birthday last year so i probably won't be that lucky twice. I think i saw that day tickets for the Leicester festival were £45 (I was getting carried away and seeing if it was feasible to go to that too - but i decided not to because all my money seems to be disappearing ). So Beacons is cheaper And apparently Patrick will be playing about 7pm at Beacons (i asked on their facebook page because i couldn't book anything without knowing a time.)

Aaah, day tickets ARE finally on sale! Patrick's on the Friday which is £35, and they've put him on the same day as Dan Mangan who I've wanted to see live for AGES Plus I've just looked and an off-peak return to Leicester's only £12.85 from my local station, whereas Skipton's a bit more complicated for me to get to... Ooooh, this is potentially exciting! I'm totally still hoping for UK non-festival shows too though, haha

Oh, i must have been looking at the wrong day when i saw £45 I keep getting overexcited and looking into going to Leicester as well but hotels for 3 nights would just be far too much Do you think Patrick would notice if i tried to stow away on the bus for a few days?

EXCITING NEWS!!!! "To coincide with my retrospective new album, I'll be performing a series of solo shows throughout the country at intimate and unexpected venues like churches, galleries and small theatres as stripped back return to my original roots." www.beigeuk.com/magazine/3dissue/summer2012/ (page 54, click to zoom) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D By the way, who is that woman in the photos with him?

I had a feeling something like this was coming after the Australian dates were announced as being part of a "10th anniversary acoustic world tour", but it's so much better when it's pretty much been confirmed like this! I AM SO EXCITED ALREADY!!! My first ever Patrick show was the Sheffield date on his 2007 solo acoustic tour and it was absolutely magic, so I can't wait for another!
The new album sounds like it's coming along pretty quickly as well, wonder when this'll be...

I'm having a minor panic attack because Beacons festival has disappeared from the live dates on Patrick's website I'm hoping it's just because the festival in Leicester is listed as the 17-19th now instead of the 17th so that's overwritten Beacons on the 19th but its not his facebook either. Oh god i'm terrified i've spent £100 on this festival please please please please please let him still be playing P.S. Sorry i haven't updated the gig list yet, i was going to do it now but the gig list on his website is terrifying me too much so i'll have to do it later. (Also i have no chance of seeing Patrick on my birthday now because he's playing in Switzerland then I had vague hopes of a UK tour around that time - although i can't complain after the epicness of last year ;D) Edit: Haha Beacons Festival just sent me a tweet saying he's definitely playing! So that's good I really should stop worrying so much

According to Twitter the UK dates are announced tomorrow, GET EXCITED!!!! I'm working at one of those UCAS university fairs with work all day tomorrow, which is probably a good thing as it means I won't be obsessively checking the computer to see whether they're out yet Can't wait to find out where they are though, yayayayay!

Glasgow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On a SUNDAY!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I've been in blackpool for the past 2 days so of course it was while i couldn't check the website obsessively that this was announced As soon as i got home i decided to check the website before i went to bed, just in case!!! When do tickets go on sale? (I thought i'd missed the start of the ticket sale but they don't seem to be on sale anywhere yet.) I'm too sleep deprived to even be surprised at my luck - sunday is the best day of the week for a gig, it's the only day i don't have uni or work so i can get there insanely early ;D I'm not entirely sure where Cottiers is - i've a feeling i might have been there for dinner with my family! Or actually i think it was my parents that have been there but i'm pretty sure it's a restaurant! I'll look it up in the morning. I just looked up train tickets to London on the 29th of august and there seems to be some really cheap ones so it also looks promising... but i think tickets are already on sale so i probably won't be able to get a good seat I shall look into it properly tomorrow and make sure i can get the time off work. Haha it's only 10 days after Beacons, i've only ever been to PW gigs months apart before! Sorry this post is a bit of a crazy rambling, i'm half asleep and rather excited. And i really should to go to bed now, i have to be up early for my driving lesson and awake enough to drive a car I'll update this thread in the morning Edit: Turns out i have been to Cottiers for dinner with my family!!! My dad just told me where it was - i actually remember it felt a bit like a gig venue! Apparently upstairs is a restaurant and downstairs is a church.

I'm actually a bit gutted as to be honest they're really bad for anyone who lives where I do Nothing in Yorkshire and the only Midlands date is Warwick, which IS a Saturday but a good way for where I live! So it's Manchester or Gateshead if I can find someone to go with (not sure whether to risk finding the venues and negotiating a massive city in the dark on my own), which I need to decide really quickly or all the good seats will go... Awww I was so excited and now I really don't know what to do! Sorry for the moan though

^ Aww that's a shame I'm not sure i will go to London - i don't think i can afford to spend any more large amounts of money at the moment And i'm already going to Beacons (London would probably have been better to go to but it's too late for that now!) Yeah it's annoying that seated gigs put pressure on you to make a spontaneous decision! If i decide later that i can afford to go to London all the good seats will be gone by then. Are all the gigs seated then? I thought it was just London but by the looks of it Glasgow is too (apparently Cottiers has a theatre - i thought it was just a restaurant ) Oh... turns out Cottiers is not the place i thought it was at all (my dad confused me last night!) It's another place i'd been for dinner with my family - it's a church and there's a restaurant upstairs and apparently there's a theatre too. Haha it's quite ironic that the only places i've seen Patrick play in Glasgow are converted churches and a converted porn cinema!

I think they'll all be seated, last acoustic they were as it's a totally different atmosphere at those gigs really! I've just been looking into it all a bit more (I think I have issues with the amount of planning going into this...) and I've got a bit more of a plan, so providing one of my friends will be free/willing to go (I may have found one!) I think I'll hopefully be at Manchester I've also got another friend conveniently moving to Warwick for a Masters so if at all possible I may combine visiting her for the weekend with that date, should transport work out and I can get it sorted soon enough! So all is not lost, I think I'm just sad he's not playing Sheffield again as that's just so much easier Really happy you've got a Glasgow date though Cat

Thanks, i hope you get it sorted! By the way according to Ticketmaster the Glasgow gig is unreserved seating so maybe some of the English ones will be unreserved too.

Unfortunately I shall only be able to get to Salford, as it's driving distance from West Yorkshire. I can't stay overnight anywhere as I now have a cat (Mr. Tiddles Wolfie). He's a 1-person cat, so I won't put him in a cattery.

Friend hasn't replied yet, but if she can't come I'm determined to bully someone else into it and I didn't want all the good tickets to go (this is an actual theatre so they are reserved), so... hello second row for Manchester!!! I will shut up about my ticket crisis eventually, haha Just desperate not to miss out, not like he's going to do an anniversary tour all that often is he?
