I watched Little Ashes.
Emotional somersaults and some characters (DALI) got me very riled. The ending was an anvil on my head. After a few weeks of watching shit movies my father selected from netflix, it was nice to watch an emotionally affecting film.
I think Robert Pattinson is forever cursed with being Edward Cullen now. I couldn't get that out of my head even though his performance was actually nice.

Do they have graveyards in California? I honestly have never seen one the three years I've been here. Where does California keep the dead?!
Edit: Sorry, sober me will go away from thread now.

I'm pretty sure I've lost the key to my chastity belt, though.

The entire time I was cleaning my bathroom, this was in my head.

I don't know how she dresses, but I assume by that comment she dresses well! Sibz, if we ran into you years ago I would have been intimidated because of my youthful self's goth envy. Uhhhh... Erik in his golf polo?

My laziness has just cost me five dollars.
Also, people surrounding me are under the impression that I am letting my life sweep past me. WHOOSH. That is my life and I hear it now. They speak some truth, but I'd prefer they not mock me.

Inlets - Inter Arbiter This sir has the most beautiful quavering vocals. I knew about him because he has played on My Brightest Diamond records, but his recordings have more rough edges and the compositions more twists and turns. Also, since I think there are a lot of Beirut fans here: Zach Condon plays on the record, aye? Cathy Davey - The Nameless She has such a sticky-sweet tone to her voice that is almost childlike, despite the darkness in some songs. I thought the demos for this album were too similar in arrangement, but enough tweaking was done to sound pleasantly varied. I'm a bit unsure about the strings for "Army of Tears"-- I absolutely adore the song and the lyrics, but I'd like if the strings were more adventurous. At times they sound so tight and slick they could be synthetic.

Call me a Scrooge, but I don't know if I really bought that particular line. I get being confused when you're a teenager, but I had an obsession with 90s artistic-revolution-era Chinese cinema when I was Marshall's age and I was still sure I was gay as hell. I do LOVE his storyline, but he sort of comes off as too smart to be sucked into Lionel's one-way-of-teh-ghey mentality. It doesn't quite ring true for me sometimes. Did they really set any kind of precedent for this in the first series? Still I love the dialogue it raises, and give kudos to the show for exploring these sorts of things. I was probably Marshall's age or younger and I thought I couldn't be gay because I wasn't like the glimpse of what I thought gay men were like. But I was a silly kid and living in a bubble. Marshall's quite smart-- clearly smarter than I ever was at that age-- but sometimes people get swayed by silly things. He's spending way too much time with Lionel, man, and it's gettin' to him. I can believe that.

one of my cats just sneezed in my face... Oh. Was it pleasant? My friend's dog once sneezed black snot on my pants-- er, trousers to most of you-- and they are stained to this day.

whathaveyoucomeas [at] hotmail dot co dot uk I'll manually add 200 karma points to anyone who gets the reference. (Why do people do that? With the... writing the dots? I don't know, but I copied them anyway.) Cheerio, Michael. xxx When posting an email in a public place, internet crawler-things can snatch it up and start mailing you spam and such. So, you obscure the format and it ain't as likely it will happen. Uhhh, I don't have MSN Messanger on my computer because I deleted it or something and I can't seem to figure out how to sign on through Trillian.

I've skipped my French lesson again. And again, for no reason. I was going to study, but since I've returned home I have been sitting here listening to music and watching Doctor Who and not reading about the Cold War from which I am having a test tomorrow. Hrr. I've started doing things very similar this semester. I believe it's my sleep deprivation affecting my motivation and heightening my already easily distracted temperament. It's a bit shit, hey. G'luck on that test.

Well, I think that haircut helps. It is beautiful hair. And the expression seems to make him more hug-worthy.
Jens Lekman was busy havin' swine flu for a while.

Devendra Banhart is a very nice looking man and seems to look just as nice without so much beard. Haven't listened to him in a while, though. Must remedy. Muchlove to pretty Jens and his pretty music, as well!!
