The way to meet him is to either get there as early as you can, or wait around until he comes out at the end, and then you can speak to him when he goes in and out The first time i ever saw him i was so desperate to meet him that i got there 8 hours early and waited outside all day! (but i'm just weird ) I always try and plan in my head everything i want to say to him in case i get too nervous to think when i see him. The first two times i met him i was in shock and i was so nervous that i barely knew what i was saying. But he's the loveliest person ever and he was just so so nice to me And he really seems to appreciate the fact that we like his music so much, it's as if he can't actually believe anyone listens to it! On one of my setlists he wrote "thank you so so so much for listening" (he writes the loveliest messages as well!) The second time i met him i suddenly realised how fast my heart was beating, so i told him how nervous i was and he was like "don't be nervous". He was so nice i felt like it was stupid for me to be nervous, but i couldn't help it! Last time i met him i wasn't as nervous though, i think i've got more used to meeting him now. Even if you're really nervous you should just try and force yourself to say something (if you plan what you want to say beforehand it might make it easier). He's so nice, he won't mind if you're nervous or in a state of shock (he probably gets that all the time ). Haha, last time i met him i apologised for being a stalker because i felt greedy waiting to meet him after the show when i'd been at the meet and greet too. But he was like "you're not a stalker!!!" So that's good! This is making me so desperate to meet Patrick again, does anyone have any hints on how to meet him at festivals? (because there'll be no stage door to hang around at Beacons )

^ haha I'd say hang around when bands he likes play and watch out for someone with a wig or another disguise but I really don't know...and if there's any bands he likes at the festival you're attending or if he even has the time for it... meh and yes I'm so longing to see him again as well...stop reminiscing! Traumzeit Festival last year was just about perfect...I want sth like that to happen again this year.

I haven't heard of most of the other bands that are playing so i've no idea if he likes them And i won't be able to get there til about 3 or 4 (he's not playing til about 7 though) - my plan is to find out what tent Patrick's playing in, run straight there, get as close to the front as possible, and then go on a Patrick hunt after he's played But i shall look out for people in wigs or disguise Sorry i'll try and stop reminiscing (Actually i've just thought it might be nice to make a gig memories thread where we can all reminisce about our wonderful experiences... but don't worry i'll wait until we've all got gigs lined up so no one gets depressed )

i sometimes plan what to say to people, but what comes out of my mouth is mostly unrelated bullshit but that happens with 'normal' people as well, my mouth and my brain just don't have the bestest of communication most of the time! i'd like to simply go to cornwall to take ridiculous pictures of town-signs or the coast and then grin like a proper loon for the fact of having been there.

^^^ We caught a ferry from Spain to Plymouth once after a family holiday and I managed to convince my parents to stop by at Teignmouth (even though it wasn't technically on the way and we had a long trip back up north left) simply because of the Patrick/Muse link It was a VERY exciting moment for 16 year old me!

Hi, i'm Catriona Aww that's a shame you couldn't see Patrick but you'll probably get to go to loads of gigs living in London - there always seems to be more gigs there than anywhere else! I think Patrick's doing a show in London on the 3rd of August: exhibitionroadshow.co.uk/day-by-day/3-august (I'm not really sure what it is though) The only news is the 10 year anniversary album Patrick's recording but we still don't know much about it yet. He's announced quite a few tour dates as well, but not a UK tour yet Sorry, i don't know any London wolfies (if you get to go to a gig maybe you'll meet some people ) Everyone who was at Lovebox - you'll need to tell us all about it!

Hi Elise! I'm sorry, I've been multiply unfaithfull to the board ;D Anyways, Berlin summer is as hot and nice as it should be, finally the PW tourdates for Germany have be announced, so I'm looking forward to that and my book and music obsessions seem to multiply again, which my conscience laments but I'm enjoying it too much to stop. How's everyone else?

Berlin summer is cold and rainy as it should be and by now even the patrick uk dates have been announced. lovebox was fantastic and i know i need to write a report and i'm actually half way through, but i'm half-way through all my missing reports, so this is not a good sign at all. i'm also crazy-busy at work and should not hang around forums during the day

Berlin summer is cold and rainy as it should be I was in Berlin in April, to get away from having to celebrate my birthday and back then it was lovely. But I guess I read somewhere that you have about the same weather that we get here (Göteborg, Sweden). It rains a lot of the time and somehow summer always disappears in a mixture of grey, rain, cold but sunny days and a FEW memorable warm ones. Anyhow, Prenzlauerberg & Friedrichshain was great and I almost felt like moving there for a while. If only I didn't get so homesick. For some reason I am in the middle of waiting for things right now. Waiting for some sign of summer weather, waiting for my boss to call me about a potential new job, waiting for no less then three things to arrive in the mail (WHY ARE THEY SO SLOW??!!). /Tommy

^well yeah, we don't really get any constant weather. 2 years back or so we had this really awful, hot summer for about a month, with brain-melting potential on a daily basis. we also had this real sick winter with far too much snow (than the city could cope with), i think it was the same year. but usually our weather is quite mixed and it's surprising to see it stay the same for a couple of days in a row. it's a bit random as we're definitely not seaside i personally am not too fond of prenzlauer berg as the wannabe coolsters and hipsters get on my nerves real quickly. though i suppose it's great for a holiday. friedrichshain is just amazing though i also have this habit of getting away for my birthday to avoid celebrations XD

Yeah i heard about his flies! Haha yes Patrick is my drug too ;D I was just in Blackpool for a couple of days and it was really sunny for a change. But since i've been home it's gone back to our normal "summer" weather - grey clouds and torrential rain But right now i am very happy, bet you can't guess why ;D Hi annaw, welcome to the wolfboard
