haha, gross.
One half of my face is all sunburnt. I've smeared it with sudacrem though so now it matches the other ghostly white half.

Had an interview on Friday, felt like it went fairly well, sent the interviewer a 'thank you for seeing me, I REALLY WANT THIS JOB' e-mail, reply said they'd 'be in touch with feedback shortly', now I'm overthinking everything and interpreting that as 'nice try!!' and trying to kid myself that I want the other job I interviewed for last week and and and and
ARGH!!
Sorry. I should use my LiveJournal more, right?

Aw, Michael! I know exactly how you're feeling. Just not knowing one way or the other is the worst thing, really... Ugh. Not fun. At least they've said they'll be in touch sooner rather than later.
Got everything crossed for you. Including some things that I didn't know I was talented enough to cross. I feel kinky.

Including some things that I didn't know I was talented enough to cross. Now you're just teasing: if I could do that I wouldn't need a job. Cheerio, Michael. xxx

I bought new acrylic paints, brushes, stretcher frames, sketch pads and even more paper.
I seriously needed some of the things like an Din A2 drawing pad and the new acrylic paints and new brushes but oh my god.. it was freaking expensive! It seemed hilarious to spend so much money on basic stuff like this. I'm happy to have it now but it was quite much for one day and I feel like I should have better spent the money on new glasses e.g. :/ .. but I needed the stuff, so.. ahhh.

Today my hairdresser told me I was "condemned" to have long hair. Lawlz. And that that my hair was too voluminous. Her "too voluminous" is my "oh that looks ok, let's just let it be curly and nice!". I want to laugh and cry at the same time at today's beauty standards.

Where I get my hair cut, first time customers fill out surveys. In the field for "What do you like best about your hair?" I answered the thickness. And when she cut my hair she texturized the hell out of it and told me I'd look like a bobblehead if she didn't despite me telling her I usually fluff my hair up when I style it. I had very flat hair and it was sad. I told her right at the moment she was about to do it, but she probably felt like she was doing me a favor by pushing her standards on me, yay.
Let's have crying/laughing parties whilst teasing our hair.

How annoying! I really wanted a really short cut, and all I got was my old cut but shorter. But not as short as I'd like, because shorter means less to straighten. She maybe thought it was too masculine for me and thought I shouldn't look masculine. Which pisses me offfff, I don't go to the hairdresser's for them to act like my mother and tell me my hair will just be annoying and a lot to take care of, and not girly enough.

I did do that for a year or so! I would get ludicrously lazy about cutting my hair because it takes me several hours to snip snip snip because I have an issue with cutting hair in straight lines. Plus, my hair was getting progressively worse as each bad haircut grew out and was given another bad haircut on top of it.

i think the problem with hairdressers is their reputation, if what you want to get isn't "conventional" they think they might get a shit reputation because you'll say where you got it done and people wil be like omg its disgusting!!! i had to sign an agreement when i went to one to get my hair bleached saying that it was esentially my fault if everything went wrong lolollo

^ haha. I only went to get my hair colour stripped out 'professionally' but other than that I've not been. One day I'll go to an expensive hair salon to get it cut and styled but only when I have the money and my hair is long. But they don't often listen, unless you research and go to the right places. Otherwise they just do what they THINK will suit you, regardless to what you have said.
My boyfriend got his hair cut and they made him look like Liam Gallagher. Well, he was overreacting but it was a bit of an odd cut, haha.

Yeah I would cut it myself if I wasn't so scared about it going wrong XD. I can't even cut tissue or paper in straight lines, so I can't imagine cutting my hair correctly hehe XD. I did go a whole year without getting it cut though, that was after my old hairdresser thought it'd be cool to cut a fringe so short it stuck up and didn't want to be straightened correctly. Hahaha XD. Well at least he wasn't afraid of cutting my hair short XD.

I'm probably going to cut my hair myself any day now. It's way too hot out for it to be the length it is, and it's only in the middle of my neck. :\ Ear-length angled bob ahoy? I'll probably have someone help me with the back.
My ambivalent day is that I'm moving really soon! I only have two weeks to pack everything. I'm really happy to be moving (MY LANDLORD IS GOING TO GIVE ME A ROOM TO BE MY OWN STUDIO I AM 110% OVERJOYED ABOUT IT) but I don't like having to pick up all my roots! This is going to be the farthest I've ever lived away from home, and I've lived in the same house my entire life and gah. Stress and strangeness.

I think we need a Wolfboard-hairdressing-co-operative, so those needing haircuts can descirbe better what they want and those of us who can cut hair (like myself) will then give them the haircut without bias/reputation/standards. And if it still doesn't look right then they can go to another Wolfboard hairdresser to see if they can do any better.
But then, this is coming from the girl who has never been to a hairdresser in her life, has had hair in every colour of the rainbow and currently has blone hair with brown roots & eyebrows.

I always try and cut my hair using a series of well-placed mirrors, then I regret it. I never learn.
