That sounds sucky, Christina! But it probably is best that he ended it before it got too serious... especially since it sounds like he wasn't sure whether he wanted a relationship. The good thing about university - lots of options! You'll probably meet someone before you know it!
My inquiry: Has anyone here managed to stay friends with an ex? Right now it seems like it will be fine if we're friends but I'm worried it might get complicated if I meet someone new/he meets someone new. . . so yes, is it possible to stay friends with an ex?

I'm still friends with my first girlfriend, we don't see each other much but we email constantly.

Has anyone here managed to stay friends with an ex? no, but I'm convined it's possible. we thought we could stay friends as we were good friends before but it didn't work for both of us. I still miss him as a friend.

Oh poo poo Christina, it all sounded so good as well. But yeah it seems like it's ended as well as it could, and I'm sure you'll be back in the game in no time. <3
I'm friends with all my exes, but you can't really call them exes because it was nothing serious at all. But it is possible!
eta: I'm so predictable, I responded 'Oh poo poo Christina' last time... did not even realise. Oh me.

Hahaha, but "oh poo poo" is the best way to describe the situation!!
Victoria, I wouldn't know from experience really but I would hope that it's possible. I could see it being awkward of you one of met someone new so soon right off the bat, but maybe with some time and patience things will get less complicated and then you'll both be comfortable enough to deal with that sort of thing. I guess just staying in contact but not forcing anything is best, and then just see how it works out from there.
