As the title implies... What the heck happened to the wolfboard chatzy? I was going to log in just now and found this message:
"Room Closed

Anybody know anything about it? Is it a joke?

I've been a bad dog and downloaded the leak... The Rip Tide is amazing... Amazing! At the same time it sounds a bit strange (to me), because it has a new sound which is basically what you'd get if you distilled all the previous Beirut albums and added a tiny bit of 60's pop yet it's still hard to pinpoint exactly what has changed.
I have to admit that I thought they (he) were done for after the magnificent Flying Club Cup album, but this is just as good. If a little bit short. Let's hope for an EP.
I love Payne's Bay and Vagabond!

I was working on this just now as well.
I think the part in Mercia is something like this:
I know you grew up in the country I grew up in the city but can we grow both together drive up to the cliffs watch the weather wild and innocent like those days we were younger laugh about the lives (lies?) we escaped
Also, it's most likely "dappled lanes".
Does anybody here have a copy of Divine Intervention with the proper pitch? I am curious about the sound at the end of the version that I have (had a friend get it off iTunes for me, and can't get a new version at the moment). I have a feeling that it just might fade into Mercia. But maybe that's where the pitch error originated as well, since Mercia is BEFORE Divine Intervention on the digital single. What I'd like to know is if the sound is still there in the "proper" version. Anybody?

Send them a critical e-mail, they may actually start to package their products in decent packaging. I did, while telling them I paid a LOT for the box + shipping and that I wasn't okay with the fact that my disc was scratched. They kindly apologised and asked for photos of the item. Now, let's see what they're going to do about it. I am NOT going to return the entire box, at my own expense that's for sure. /t

Mine arrived today too. A nice reward for half a day of working out, running and bicycling around town. It's beautiful! I have, however, emailed Sandbag about the state of the House 7". Since everything was just lying loose in the box, it had fallen out of its case and gotten several (shallow) scratches and marks. Surprised that there's no tracklist for Lemuralia, or did I miss something? Also, thank goodness, the slipcase for the CD is NOT the same as the Play.com edition. /t

I ran Divine Intervention through Adobe Audition (audio editing software) and timestretched it about ten seconds so it's now 4:00 instead of 3:49 and now the vocals seem more normal. I'd still like to know if it's an error or the way it was meant to be.

Okay, I've acquired the EP now and I have to say that it's amazing.
I can see why these tracks were left off the album, but it's not because they're bad in any way, but dark and complex in a pre-TMP way. What I'm still wondering though, is why Patrick's vocals are so high-pitched in Divine Intervention. Is the entire track a little bit off or is this an intended effect for just the vocals? Would someone with a Twitter account mind asking Patrick about it? Would be sad if the track had just been distorted while uploaded to iTunes.

When I do buy the iTunes Lupercalia for the Portraits I will own 5 copies of Lupercalia...with a potential of 2 more to make it 7 How have you managed to get 5 copies already? And two more won't suffice when we're most likely getting limited edition US, Japan, Korea etc etc etc editions with tiny extras as well. I know ALL about those releases. /t

thehazelwoodfayeI don't mind your suggestions at all. Don't worry. I am a terribly completist, though. I am definitely no stranger to a bit of internet "piracy" but I try to only use it as a last resort solution or to try new music before deciding what to buy and whatnot. (I am very bad at actually buying software etc, though. ) I simply would prefer to buy the videos separately because I already have a digital copy (legitimate review copy) and don't see why I (or anyone) should have to pay for all the music yet again to get a little part of the package, especially when it's been paid for two or three times already (seeing as it's the same songs on cd and vinyl). And I don't see any good reason for why I am not even ABLE to legitimately buy mp3 copies of Mercia and Divine Intervention. I'll get it all, eventually, so I'm currently just a bit frustrated that I can't get it all around the release date. I love the portraits and wish there were extended versions of them for all of lupercalia. Like slow motion music videos to get me in the right mood. /t

There's also "The Halcyon" and the now almost mythical "Eustacia" and "Rites Of Spring" which were said to have been played live back in the early days. In 2008 at the Tate Modern he played something entitled Orpheo, which might be a cover, but it's definitely unreleased. I'm not sure, but I think he might have played one or two new tracks over the years while dj:ing, which we still haven't heard anywhere else. EDIT: And THISEDIT 2: I know parts of it was used for Queen Isabella, but I would have liked Treasure Trail to be released in some form. /t

As of today, the House EP is available on iTunes. Tracklisting: 01 - House 02 - Mercia 03 - Divine Intervention 04 - House (Video) Divine Intervention!!! Nice surprise, Patrick! Yes, the preview of Divine Intervention seems amazing... And Mercia would be lovely to be able to listen to, since it's only iTunes or vinyl, but for some reason they're not available in the Swedish iTunes store (neither is Lupercalia) so I can only hear the previews in the UK store... What's the deal with limiting the digital releases like this? Fans outside of the UK aren't worth these songs? And while I'm at it, why can't I buy the portraits without having to buy the whole Lupercalia album AGAIN? I've already paid for it more than twice, having ordered the box set AND the Play.com version. So, sorry for the angry/disappointed rant. Hope you UK people enjoy the new songs anyhow. /t

For anyone curious about when things are going to be sent out: Play.com confirmed that they've shipped my pre-order today. Hopefully won't take too long to get here, but it could take forever too, since our postal service is awful.
Anyone heard from Sandbag?

Thanks for the reply (and pic)... So, I'll need the 7" then...still need...Vulture and Damaris as well...ugh...no luck hunting those down yet...especially the vulture 7" OT: Was Bluebells/Vulture/Hard Times/Damaris released as an actual EP or just dowload only eps? Bluebells was a "download only" single, but there was a promo cd, which is quite hard to come by. The The Bachelor singles were all vinyl/download but there are also cd promos. If you're ever curious about anything pre- The Bachelor, check out my old discography: patrickssecretgarden.awardspace.com/OLDIES/discography.html /t

Do both the 7" as the 12" have the same artwork? Or does only one of them have the artwork? If someone could let me know, if would be highly appreciated... Unfortunately, no. The 12" is the one below The Bachelor and the EP in this picture: i56.tinypic.com/30dkylz.jpg /t

The Lemuralia tracklist is now official (from PW's Twitter): www.patrickwolf.com/lemuralia/William (Wolf Extended Paris Mix) The Days (Original Piano Sketch Vienna 2006) The Falcons (Wolf Opus 3 And Orchestra Remix) Oil Slick Armistice (Glass Harmonica, Cristal Bachet, Ondes Martenot And Vocal Mix) Slow Motion (Orchestral Instrumental Mix) Sing (Acapella Mix) Looks okay. Not much new, but hopefully okay versions of those tracks. Wonder what Oil Slick is... /t

Just a hint to anybody who hasn't ordered yet: The box set has now changed so it includes the Lupercalia CD and Lemuralia bonus disc. And I think it's slightly cheaper than ordering both separately like you had to before.
