If you had the slightest inkling of how much it costs to press, warehouse and distribute vinyl, you wouldn't be asking the question. A petition from people who would effectively be re-buying the album is little more than a joke - 100 sales on vinyl wouldn't even cover the cost of shipping them to one shop. Well, as a matter of fact I've been looking into vinyl pressing costs, and yeah it's terribly expensive, but perhaps, pressing a batch of pre-ordered and pre-payed copies would be a possibility? At least if we get enough people who are willing to invest in it. Do you know if Patrick will be distributing his own stuff when his label's up and running, or will that still be done by LOOG? Tricky stuff, vinyl. Thanks for the input though, miss Broadhurst, it's nice to have someone around who actually knows how everything works. /t

Umm, The Horrors, who are a fellow LOOG band, had their album released on vinyl, and I can hardly see that one selling any better than PW. Or do they? Both WITW and Lycanthropy was released by Tomlab, WITW is still in stock (I think) but Lycanthropy's been sold out for quite a while, so I guess it's not impossible to sell at least a small amount of copies. As I've already written, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Not hoping for any miracles though. But why give up without even trying?

This may sound incredibly geeky, and possibly futile, but I've started an online petition. I hope that we somehow can get this through to LOOG / Team Wolf and let them know that we in fact want a vinyl edition of TMP. At least some sort of limited edition, printed on-demand should be possible. Such a beautiful album and still, no vinyl? I know at least a few of you would love to own a copy. So, here goes: www.ipetitions.com/petition/tmppetition/I'm keeping my fingers crossed! (Sorry to post this in both PW and Media sections, but I figured it might reach more people like this. Melba, feel free to remove the thread if you find it annoying.) /t

I read about Patrick in the local newspaper sometime after WITW was released. Unfortunately, since it was yesterday's paper, I found out that he'd been playing the night before, which meant I'd already missed him. I was still curious about the music, though... To my big surprise, my favourite record store at the time had some copies of the album. so I listened a bit in the store, bought it immediately and, well, I've been listening and collecting obsessively since then.

I think I'll collect as many of these tabs/chords as possible and put them on Secret Garden, sooner or later. So, anyone who's good at creating them, and want to contribute, please, do send me contributions, by pm or e-mail or something.
Thanks!

The Hazelwood is a B-Side... I think it was on the cd version of the Tristan single. Not sure if there are any live versions. Could check that out.

Hah, well, I think you're missing that there's no E at the end of Augustin... Which is the old Austrian folk song that he's recorded. Some small technical knowledge needed for Vinyl -> MP3 conversion, mainly just a cable between stereo and computer... I could make a guide if people are interested? /t

Well, firstly, Augustine is in fact Augustin, so it's an old folk song, BUT a good intro for the re-worked Secret Garden (II) which I prefer to the version on the album.
I'm not really fond of the use of live versions of songs as B-sides. I'd really prefer unreleased songs, but these are quite ok...

I had forgot all about that... but I haven't seen it anywhere and think I've looked just about everywhere. So I'd also like to hear it, if it actually exists.

It's also up on patrickwolf.com. I did a rip of it when it came out, so there should be a link to it here on the board if you want to download it. /t

I like it mostly because of the electronics on it, sounds a bit like Patrick used to... So it's good he kept it off the album, although the album would've needed something like this as well. Mixed emotions! Argh! /t Next album. Dark electronic. Childcatcher-esque, non? Here's hoping. Would be wonderful. MP needs a pitch-black followup! /t

As for the release date, I have no idea whatsoever. But I think sakistore.net/ is in the US. That is where I ordered my The Libertine 7". They've got WITW on both cd and vinyl for reasonable money. Even shipped the record to Sweden for the same amount it would've costed here. /t
