1) Why do boys sometimes walk around with their hands in their trousers? 2) Apparently getting kicked in the balls is more painful than childbirth...? 1. Because they're fucking stupid. 2. No. CHildbirth is pretty much the most painful thing it's possible to go through. If a man were to experiance how paiful it is, they would invariably go into shock. OBVIOUS ONE: I don't understand boys.

re: footless tights sell, i ahve worn footless tights but once in my life, othe roccasions which i MAY use them for i opt for leggings, but really classic tights arepreferable as far as i'm conbcerned. I buy a lot of tights at h&m kids and thus have a good range oif colours/patterns/thicknesses available, making the colour/pattern side of footless tights irrelevant. HOWEVER on summer nights when it's a little chilly but you're going to a gig and liable to get too hot, footless tights provide a nice amount of ventilation.
MY QUESTION last night i was trying to remember how to make the queen on a 5 or 10 £ note frown by folding the corners of her mouth, but couldn;t work out which parts of the corners, what way to turn the note to get the frowning effect. HELP?

ohh, you fold the note in the middle of the smile vertically and then you tilt it, and it looks like she is smiling/frowning depending on which direction you tilt it

Why my head of year is alive

WHEN HAVE YOU EVER USED HALF THE THINGS YOU LEARNED IN MATHS CLASS? Well, I'm going to assume that you count things sometimes. And that occasionally you use money and need to know how to add, or subtract. Maybe even multiply and divide! But only when you're feeling crazy. Think of it this way, sure, lots of people dislike math and don't really see it as having a "real use" in life. But then, a lot of people DO like math, and they enjoy the course. If we just did away with math and science and all those other dodgy subjects that "no one really likes" then where do you think the world would be today, technology wise? I'm assuming you like the internet... But really, the point of it is, some people benefit from math classes, and discover that's what they want to do with their lives. And some people benefit from English classes, and discover THAT is what they want to do with their lives. But how would anyone ever know if they didn't take those classes?

although some things in maths are completely irrelevant uf you don't want to do it as a career. i was entered for the higher gcse maths course (in which you tackle issues otherwise saved for the a levels) which was a lot of pressure, a bit difficult, a constant source of worry and by that time i'd mad eup my mind that maths was NOT going to be a defining point of my future career. having said that, i did get a B.

math is useful for calming and soothing oneself.
i haven't taken math in two years but sometimes when my world is crumbling i'll break out my calc. textbook and solve some problems.
(in school math is hell if you don't understand it, outisde its much much better. also, i never worried about school and look where its gotten me)

Maths lessons were the best lessons ever.
We never actually did any maths though for the whole of my GCSE's, thats why it was brilliant, we just pissed about.

This thread has taken a turn for the inane.
I don't understand the appeal of Jeremy Clarkson.

Well obvs. You LIKE maths. BUt honestly. apart from like, scientists and whatnot, who cares about mtahs past primary school? Oh, I see now! You are so totally correct. How could I have been so stupid? All scientists knew that's what they wanted to be in primary school, so they should just shunt them off to a separate school where they're never heard from again and live in happy mathland where there's nothing but numbers and symbols! Yayyy. And then the rest of the world can live in complete ignorance of many of the things going on around them. Double yayyy. ...But seriously. I'm not making fun of you. (Too much.) I just think people who complain about this are kind of ridiculous. Everyone has to go through it, some people struggle, but you get out okay. If you don't understand math, it isn't the end of the world. But education is about being well rounded, so they aren't just going to do away with it, no matter how much you'd like.
