What's that weird political, ethical, moral (ETC.) opinion you hold that you're scared of telling anyone?
Maybe you think old people are actually really hot? We don't judge.
But please, do discuss. I am bored of all these threads which are really just people talking about themselves in a really boring fashion.
I'll start: My most radical view is that I think The Smiths suck. Not very radical, I know, but I am a pretty dull gal.

Thinking old people are hot is political? Hmmm. That IS strange. I am of rather socialist opinions, which is fairly radical in this country. I wouldn't say communist, though the basic principles are quite nice.. They just don't actually end up working.

Everything is political.
(I didn't mean that necessarily. Structure isn't my strong suite, is all)
And please share your views. Having socialist opinions are pretty common, especially in a fairly 'indie-centric' forum as this one.

Well, a lot of what I would say is commonplace overseas. You know, free public health care and all that, though even the free health care needs revision.
I guess my most radical view that I can think of right now is that I think when an 18 or 19 year old sleeps with a 14 year old or whatever, it isn't statutory rape, unless it really is a rape. 14 year olds generally know what they are doing and those people aren't much older. I don't know exactly how I would change it... but I think right now, here anyway, it's too harsh. I also think drugs should be legal. I don't use them, but it would dramatically decrease horrible drug trafficking and overcrowing in prisons.

I made the mistake of saying that nationalism and patriotism are bad things during a debate in my government class, which is basically all ultra-conservative.
Well, it wasn't a mistake, but the results weren't too good.
They all think I'm a crazy radical, my evil arch-ideological enemy especially.
non-political:
I think whipped cream is absolutely disgusting.

I didn't much get a good response my whole life when I didn't do the Pledge of Allegiance. My parents told me not to.. "EVER" as they said. So I didn't.
Whipped cream is lovely! I hate pickles. Most people think I am crazy because of that.

Even though I live in the North East, my town is pretty conservative and religious. So perhaps my most radical view is my nonbelief.
Though I don't find that radical at all. Eh, it's all relative.
Pickles are lovely. You're crazy! Well no, but seriously, I could eat a whole meal of kosher dill pickles.

They may be old enough physically for all the consequences (I'm assuming), but a hell of a lot of people that age would not be emotionally ready for such a relationship. And besides, a 14 year old can be easily manipulated by a person; I think people forget what being 14 was truly like. You're stupid and easily influenced by others. I'm with you on the drugs thing, though.

The death penalty should be reinstated for certain crimes.
I've lit the blue touch paper; I'm off now...

My ideology is all messed up. so, im completely left wing on half of my views, and completely right wing on the others. so when we had to take this quiz thing for gov & politics that said what our ideology was on a graph, it got confused and put me at point (0,0) and i can annoy pretty much everyone with my views.

I use to have loads of political views that use to rile people up back when I was passionately interested in these things and also the period when I was utterly infatuated with Nietzsche lead to me gain a lot of views that people took issue with. I've really mellowed though, which might disappoint you, I've considered and toyed with every political ideology and every religion and I guess I'm becoming what I use to hate a touchy feely liberal But I guess theres still a couple of things... *I believe all drugs should be made legal, it's peoples own business if they want to harm themselves and it would take power away from the nasty gangster types who run the drugs trade. The tax payers money that perhaps might go into a greater need for treating people with drug problems on the NHS would be more than balanced out from the public money spent, catching, charging and imprisoning people charged of drug offenses. *I believe Children should be taught political concepts like say "the difference between left and right wing" and both sides of the argument on the big issues from an early age as a priory of the curriculum. Here comes the controversial bit, I also believe people should take a "political literary" test at 16, a fairly basic mulitipal choice exam to identify if people have a basic understand of the things they are voting for, if you don't pass, you can't vote. The reason behind this is I believe democracy can never be more than a sham when everything is basically a big public relations exercise and the media who lets remember are owned by large conglomerates with their own agendas (especially the 'trojan horse' approach of the tabloids, lure simple minded folk in with the celebrity gossip and tits, then you subliminally pound them with your covert political agenda) this would be combated by a more well informed electorate. *I don't entirely believe in equality, I believe the human race is in a constant state of evolution, and that certain human beings alive today are more evolved than others (I hope I don't even have to say that this is nothing to do with race or nationality, but I will anyway) Treating people "the same" is utter folly. For once I agree with Karl Marx on this one "From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs"

Outrageous statement # 2: Build more prisons. People who commit crimes should be punished. I'm with you on decriminalising class c drugs, mind. Just as long as it's possible for govt. agencies to enforce no drug driving as they do drink driving.

Death penalty?! No, no. I have written many papers on it and I live in a country that has it. 'Tis not cool. My state unfortunately just reinstated it. I was very angry.

(don't tell the people i work for this because my job is registering people to vote) i'm such a bad citizen.

Just as long as it's possible for govt. agencies to enforce no drug driving as they do drink driving. Well of course you shouldn't drive while on drugs. That's not the point. Tons and tons of people are in prison because of drugs. It's silly. They aren't hurting anyone but themselves usually.

Not if it was regulated. It does now, because it is illegal so everything they do is illegal ie not paying the growers well enough, etc. The violence associated with getting it into the country is only because it is illegal. Buying shoes from Wal-Mart or buying non fair trade coffee hurts society as a whole too, but it's certainly legal.
