That would be a WYNNE/WYNNE situation! Maybe they could rename the show Wynnes? Also.. much as the second generation has been riddled with toxic writing flaws, I'll miss Cook, JJ, Thomas and the family Fitch. Not as much as I'll miss my Thursday dose of "AWFUL ACTING/I CRIED/GGRR@EFFY!" from you Rhi.

Looks like we'll have a fresh bunch of twats then! Haha! Unless Thomas (or God forbid, Effy) decides to re-sit their year, after their expulsion/failing?

It might happen with Thomas, because despite being in two series' he still feels like a fairly minor character, about the same level Effy was in series 1/2.
Unless any of the series 1/2 characters had younger siblings who would now be old enough for college? Jal's brothers? UNLESS Series 5/6 will be an assortment of all the past casts at university together.

Actually.. I just thought, pros and cons of her character aside Skins without Effy will be well weird, since she's been there from the start! I'll keep watching no matter how bad it is ) : I CAN'T LET GO *sob* You're such a Thomas fan girl Florence.. haha. Don't tempt me with the idea of gen 1 characters coming back. If it was up to me I'd bring back a rehabilitated Cassie in an Emma from Glee/Josie Long-esque guidance consellor role

Thomas is by far the best/most realistic/nicest character in there.

Very interesting. I'm trying desperately to remember Hamlet now. All I can remember is Hamlet's 'count...ry matters' pun in the play scene, and I remember Freddie's use of it in the field scene scaring away the people. Apart from that they don't seem alike at all. He wasn't too boring he was too mad...

^ That is interesting. But from my (secondary) experiences of mental health help for young people, it's pretty damn inadequate anyway. It all depends where you live (as does most things) .
Interesting poll. I think maybe they do deserve first and second. Having looked through the rest of the people on the list, they are like the only prominent teenage lesbian/bi characters that there is, so.. I guess it's an important feat for Skins there. Actually, apart from Sugar Rush, but that didn't have as big an audience.
I was looking for my personal favourite "Lesbian and Bisexual Character" Alex from The OC, only to find that the same actress is now playing a different "Lesbian and Bisexual Character" in the lastest series' of House which I haven't watched yet. Fun times.

I liked that episode. I'm glad Naomi and Emily got a happy ending (and Thomas and Panda), and I loved the bit where they were dancing. There wasn't too much Effy which was awesome. The ending was good. And I've decided that I like Cook now.

Initially I thought It was a bloody balls ending! But then I realised it wasn't that bad, but it still feels like there's loads left to sort out, and it didn't feel finalised (as a complete series of stories rather than characters) at all. Oh well. it was a fitting farewell otherwise though. I loved the happy endings (wept at Naomi's speech) and thought there were some hilarious moments (Perry and the fag and Arsila). Effy wasn't too annoying, there were futures planned out for many of them, JJ and Cook were pulled back together again and it all seemed a smooth ending for the characters (although not necessarily for their individual stories). Once again there was bad acting in the form of Mandy's and Naomi's early scenes, but I let it go. I loved Cook's emasculation > masculation during that episode! His final moment was perfect I thought, and in hindsight was really pleasing. I like Cook now I also enjoyed the complete flipping of Dr Foster (went to Gloucester)'s character from the early moment of the previous episode, where I really liked him. In Effy's last week I loved him and his voice, and now obviously I am repulsed by him, to the point of even physically flinching when he touched Effy. God, am I ever glad to see the back of Effy, despite her not being irritating almost at all in this episode! A better episode in hindsight that at the time, I think. I'm still thinking Karen for the next series! I have no idea who else it could be..

After I'd finished watching last night just knew it would leave people feeling shortchanged but I personally think pretty much glossing over the ridiculous murder storyline bar a tacked on "ambiguous" ending scene and just having a fun episode with a lot of character interactions was about the best I could have hoped for really.
I didn't really want to come online afterwards, cos I know there's going to be SO many things nit-picked to crap, but hell it was an enjoyable enough hour of TV and I just can't be bothered with all the I'M NEVER WATCHING AGAIN, I TAKE UMBRAGE... UMBRADGE I TELL YOU!!!
I answer all that with just two words.. Pandora's song! DUDE, Pandora's song! It was better than most real twee-pop. How it juxtaposed into the darkness of the shot of John Foster was FANTASTIC as well. Karen was quite cute and funny also.
Also when the hell did Lily "Naomi" Loveless learn to act?! She really pulled an A-game from somewhere in her speech. Bravo girl, never knew you had it in you.
Sad Katie didn't get much of an ending though she was great in this and they've really made her such a loveable character (against all odds!) this series.. she's in love with Tommo gets the brush off and then.. nowt ) : Her face on seeing JJ with the baby with a lovely subtle moment considering events in her episode. I would have prefered Katie/Thomas to Pandora/Thomas.
Also the lack of ANY sort of ending/closure for the central character (Effy) was just weird.
Nothing about this series or the second generation in general has lived up to my hopes of what the show could be.. but objectively, expectations and preconceptions aside.. c'mon that wasn't half bad!

Agreed about Effy not getting closure, but I have to disagree about Lily Loveless' acting, sorry. Actually, you know what, it wasn't the acting that was all that bad, but the writing. I've been in love with you since I was 12? What? That whole speech was thoroughly ridiculous, and way too late in the season for me to be suitably impressed. Of course, I teared up a bit anyway, because they're lesbians in love! and I am a sap. I wish Karen could be the link to the next generation, because she is adorable and hilarious. I want to hang out with her and give her lots of hugs. She totally exploited her mother's death to get votes on some reality show, but she cares more about her brother than anyone. ♥ Did you all read the character blogs that were posted on the e4 website? Reading Katie's blog was the moment that cemented my love for her. No-one ever talks about all the charity work Kanye does. They just want to slag him off. Jealous much? I mean I'm not a hundred percent he actually does do charity stuff but he blatently sings about the sort of stuff that people who do charity stuff sing about so obviously that counts for something. And he was well nice to his mum. I heard she died after a boob job went wrong, so Kanye made Arnold Schwarzenegger change the laws in California. Would a bad person take on The Terminator for his mum?...I know. You feel well stupid now.
