Are you friends with one of the members of the former band?
... Oh wait, you are.
(edit: I not be mean, I make joke, I fail, I let myself out.)

They deserve a lot of respect for the shows they've been playing recently. And for the mass amounts of fun that happened during Triptych weekend.

Fuck yeah to both Copy Haho and Danananana. I think Danananana are doing the Sauchiehall Crawl?

Bowerbirds are fantastic, thanks for a link to them, can't stop listening . Some time ago I was at the gig of The Deer Tracks and their were magical. It's Swedish electronica, a little bit Mum-like. Really looking forward to their debut album, which, as I predict, will be high in my personal rank of the most interesting debuts of 2008. www.myspace.com/thedeertracks

^ They sound supremely enjoyable. It's tickling my ears in beautiful ways--I think it deserves a purchase from me when it's out. Thanks!

Have you heard about Belgian The Tellers ? Maybe it's only simple acoustic indie pop, but definitely a fantastic mood enhancer. And the vocalist has a great voice. www.myspace.com/thetellersAnd here is the link to the most interesting Polish new band Hatifnats. Something between post-rock and shoegaze with extraordinary, androgynic vocals. People who've heard Hatifnats say that they're too good to be Polish - well, you can check it here: www.myspace.com/hatifnats

didn't they use a tellers song (second category) for a camera ad?

I concur on The Tellers recommendation. They're very sweet and good for lazy mornings.

Oh, I like. Thank you. I've been listening to Sam Amidon recently... I quite like his album. The first three songs on the myspace player are from it, and they're awesome.

Architecture in Helsinki are fantastic, excellent for a bad mood. On their myspace there is "Do you like it or not" - my fav and the essence of crazy style of this band. And their gigs are great fun. And thanks for recommending Get well soon - really like it.

The Cool Kids definitely one of the better rap acts out there- really reminiscent of the old-skool rap of the 80's. download: 'black mags', 'the 88', and 'i'm mikey' www.myspace.com/thecoolkids

I'm liking Late of The Pier at the moment. I think they fall on the more interesting side of the indie-pop thing and their Zarcorp Demo is pretty solid.
