I'm not sure if this has been done in some other thread on the board, but here goes: Recommend one good band, that you think fellow wolfboarders HAVEN'T heard of, and might like. Preferrably with some link to the band's website or myspace, so you can listen to some samples... I'm NOT implying you should upload your requests here, there's already the "YSI thread" for that kind of thing. My recommendation is Vampire Weekend, an indie-poppy band I found a while back. www.vampireweekend.com//t

I am currently quite obsessed with St Vincent (AKA Annie Clark), a musician who played with Sufjan Stevens for a while, and is in the Polyphonic Spree. Her debut album just came out - check it out! www.myspace.com/stvincent

Ah yes, I love everything off of Tiger, My Friend. To contribute, I am going to recommend Les Georges Leningrad. The songs they have on their MySpace are certainly the more tuneful and melodic songs they've made, but I'd really look into them if one doesn't mind noise and discord. myspace.com/lgl2007www.lesgeorgesleningrad.org/

I adore Psapp. Toytronica must be the greatest genre ever.

Laura in predictable recommendation shocker: Los Campesinos! www.myspace.com/loscampesinosps. I will not stop until everyone ever loves them. 'Cause I'm sad like that.
