Yeah, it looked well nasty. Victoria (violin player) was casting her eyes over the crowd and looking quite worried during most of the performance!

I didn't see anyone getting punched in the face...I was too busy doing the Batman with Sibz and Meryl. Well Meryl kind of stood there and looked disdainful.

I missed doing the batman? Oh well. I enjoyed it. The day far surpassed the performance in my opinion. I had a lot of fun. Although I didn't realize how many people there were until I was walking back from the toilettes and looked over the crowd to see absolutely ZERO space on the grounds. Fun day! Nice seeing everyone and meeting a couple for the first time!

I heard a few 'HEY SEXY' when he took his shirt off. I think they must have been 10-year-olds who have never come into contact with male human beings before. It wasn't THAT much of a novelty, idiots.

Ha, that is a gem!
So, did no-one else get squashed/unnerved/knocked over by the general mayhem that ensued, particularly during tristan and vulture?!

one of my many efforts of the day, or at least one of my favourite ones. I have to admit as general banter before and during stage time goes today was probably one of the most squee infested backstreet boys akin fangirling generally annoying with a nice pinch of gay rape insinuating homophobia for a dash of spice crowds I've ever seen or hope to see at any Patrick wolf related event ever. Two blokes infront discussing Patrick before stage time 1 : "last time I saw him he had pigtails" 2 : "sounds like a right fag" 1 : "Dunno..probably." 2: "watch when he comes on I'm going to leap the barrier and hump him to death he'd probably like that" *laughter* and feel free to correct me if they were your friends and I've simply misheard but it was kind of disgusting to be surrounded by banter like that at what is supposedly a festival about acceptance of people. On the whole though seeing Patrick again after I had such a bad time at the christmas gig was quite gratifying, as always unfortunatly the fangirls have worsened and make his live appearances generally unpleasurable. have fun but theres no need to sound like a greedy nympho who's obsessed by nipples surely? did I mention it was quite good. */bitch rant over* i'm old and miserable. I like to whinge.

My friend heard two men who were walking past her, calling him various homophobic names. Coincidentally, there were plenty of occurrences like that at the festival to make me think that the organisers hadn't really thought it through. It was a festival about equality for all, and they brought on countless rappers and MCs who were all 'WHERE'S MY BITCH AT'.

You mean from an ideological point of view the whole event was basically pointless and people just treated it as a free gig? Wow, that really kind takes me by surprise, never would have predicted that.. I like Patrick's Union Jack thing though, tis a good statement (Ya know reclaim the flag and all that) considering the whole objective of the event.

I think it worked on an anti-racist event. not sure about the rest, although I was lucky where I was as the people there were friendly bunch. a woman even came up to us afterwards and asked who was that just played, so we told patrick wolf and showed his name on the list and she said she'll look his music up as he was amazing.

i nearly vomitted at the group chanting. i hate that kind of thing. and shouting fuck the bnp really made me cringe.
patrick was the only one with any sense by saying that we should just ignore the bnp. keep believing and doing what is right and eventually the bnp will realise that they have no future in mainstream politics.
shouting fuck the bnp is pathetic and as bad as them.

Well I imagine the BNP would probably benefit from a good fucking, possibly by a Shepherds Bush Green hooker. ..and shock horror knock me down with a kipper I totally agree with Patrick. What is the world coming to? Though I guess he did play this utter lameathon' of an event in the first place.. I wonder if he'll play my, Love Candyfloss, Hate Torturing Puppies For Kicks festival?
