Yeah! That whole thing was the only part I didn't understand, either. I agree, it was rather quickly glossed over in too little detail. I guess that was the only real flaw in the book, in my opinion. Really, I can't think of any way I would rather have the epilogue go. It may have been a little corny, but there is really no better way to end the series...

You mean, other than pr0n??
I think she could have included some more background details slipped in there. Like "And Kingsley was such a brilliant Prime Minister, and oh, Harry did love his job as an auror, and you be good for Headmaster Whatstheirface" or other such things. You know?
But then... I like to know everything ever.

Yeah, I would like to know what happened to the Dursleys, too... That was an early goodbye.

"Why doesn't it work for me, Severus?"
"My - my Lord, I do not understand. You have performed extraordinary magic with that wand."
"No. I am extraordinary - but this wand, it is not. It has not performed the wonders it has promised."
The words might not be exact. But I had to post what I remembered of it. DID ANY ONE ELSE CRY WITH LAUGHTER WHILE READING THIS PART? Jo totally did it on purpose as a tribute to the fanfic writers.

When I read this for the second time, I will fully be looking out for further little homoerotic touches like this. It's bound to be rife with them.

there's a bit near the end where it says ...
''Dumbledore gave a little gasp and began to cry in earnest. Harry reached out and was glad that he could touch him: he gripped his arm tightly, and Dumbledore gradually regained control''

Yeah, I would like to know what happened to the Dursleys, too... That was an early goodbye. Yeah it was. We also didn't learn about anything to do with Harry's eye colour. Hadn't she said in the past that it was relevant why she always mentioned or something?

When Snape was like "Look at me!" he wanted to see Lily's eyes. I thought he was talking about his thoughts, look at me, look at my thoughts... I don't know...

No, because then he would have said "look at the silver stuff coming out of my mouth" but he didn't.
I still don't know. I think she should have made more things known. Now we all must purchase this encyclopedia to find out what really happened to everyone. Pfft. As if. Ok, I know I will.

I'd like to think she did. When I read this for the second time, I will fully be looking out for further little homoerotic touches like this. It's bound to be rife with them. Ahem, ahem. Here you may find all the amusing quotes from Order of the Phoenix that.. when taken out of context, are pretty much the most amusing things ever. Some good ones: "Quite astonishing, the way you contrive to wriggle out of very tight holes." "I thought not," said Snape, watching him closely. "You let me get in too far. You lost control." "What did he do to you, Diddy?" Aunt Pentunia said in a quavering voice, now sponging sick from the front of Dudley's leather jacket. "Was it-- was it you-know-what, darling? Did he use-- his thing?"

That was so hysterical... Unfortunately, I had to make my list of favourite ones short enough to post: "...screwing up her eyes each time with the same pained expression she had worn back in Harry's bedroom." (85) "He was on all fours again on Snape's office floor." (536) "Ron wrenched the hangings apart, and Harry stared up at him in the moonlight, as he lay flat on his back." (586) "Well, we'll soon find out, won't we?" said Snape smoothly. "Wand out, Potter." Harry moved into his usual position... (638) "Well?" said Ron finally, looking up at Harry. "How was it?" Harry considered for a moment. "Wet." He said truthfully. (458) ...She pressed hard on the top of his head. "Doesnt it ever lie flat?" she said desperately. Harry shook his head. (123)
