Ladies would you ever use one of these: The Mooncup is a reusable menstrual cup around two inches long and made from soft silicone rubber. It is worn internally like a tampon but collects menstrual fluid rather than absorbing. Unlike tampons the Mooncup is not a disposable product, so you only need to buy one.The Mooncup will hold 30ml of fluid, which is roughly one third of the average total produced each period. A light seal is formed with your vaginal walls allowing your menstrual fluid to pass into the Mooncup without leakage or odour. You will probably find that you need to empty your Mooncup less frequently than you currently replace towels or tampons.Never in my life will i be in the pressence of one of those. Ever. My friend uses one. She has done for about 3 years and says it's incredible. It sounds icky, but apparently it isn't at all, and makes her life much easier. No leakage or anything! She is so convincing that I might just try it, but if I would have just said 'ewwwww noooo waaay', if I'd heard about it otherwise. But really, why is it any more gross than tampons? tampons are just disgusting.
The boys are going to LOVE this thread.

I think it's a lot less disgusting than tampons. And a lot more hygienic. And a lot more comfortable too etc... There was a conversation some years ago in Finland if the social security thing, which pays for health care, some medicine and such, should start to pay for what women need to handle their bloody days. Lolz. Buy Mooncups to the people, dear government.  |

I've read some really great things about moon cups/diva cups. I'd be willing to try one.
I brought the subject up with some friends over lunch and they all lost their appetites. I'm not very good at proper lunch conversations.

I think it's more the idea of cleaning it that irks me. and yes. That is my biggest issue with it. I don't want to be cleaning oodles of blood. |

Lmao, when I first saw the picture I must have missed the bit about it being two inches long, and imagined it to be about the same size as a normal funnel. Which was a real 'WTF!' moment.
It's a bit... weird. I don't think i'd fancy the cleaning process.

Aha, my friend just mentioned this the other day - it looks like a massive funnel/syringe, two of these least pleasant objects I imagine to have to shove between my legs.
And imagine if any male found this in your bathroom, he'd run a mile. I think we have the proof in that the men on this board are blatantly too terrified venture into this thread.
