Make me a W and two As please. I will make something in return - out of paper or papier mache at a push.

Just a little constructive criticism if you're up for it: for facial features I'd cut out some black felt (or whatever) and sew that on instead of drawing features. A decorative stitch like blanket stitch might make it look super cute. Also, this: dollmaker.nunodoll.com/cat/terrycat.html you can probably modify that pattern if you feel like making stuff that stands up.

i want to make a papier mache tree to hang all my necklaces on. how would i go about doing this? i was thinking about stuffing an old stocking with newspaper and pearl barley or something for the shape and the weight, then gluing it to a piece of card, and using cut up wire coathangers to make the branches...
but i am not very artistically minded and usually when i attempt something crafty i just give it up halfway through or end up staring at my box full of sequins for a few hours going 'ooh, pretty'.

just do it jay! sounds great. just start doing it and show us your progress. we could try to give you some hints then. or make a glittery sequin tree to keep you motivated.
this tree is quite bulky but might give you a direction??
curious.

I'd make a wire armature first, so that it has a good structure. Then I'd build up the shape by wadding up newspaper and taping it down onto the wire. Then I'd papier mache over it.
