Godrevy Point is my favourite Patrick song. I'm trying to get hold of it on cd, but it is proving difficult...

I've always wondered what is going on at the end of this song. Does anyone know?

It sounds like a really bizarre radio broadcast to me... though I don't know exactly what it is, and I'm not sure where we could find that out...
Anyway, my mother has been obsessed with this song lately. I put the live XFM radio session version of it on a mix CD for the car, and everytime we get in the van and turn the radio on, the song is BLASTING. 'Cause I guess apparently she is playing it really loud repeatedly on the journeys to and from work.
Also, in that version, towards the end, it seems like he is neighing like a horse a bit. It's really a weird improvised falsetto note he's singing, but it just sounds so funny. And my mom keeps rewinding and rewinding and laughing her ass off at that part, and then I start laughing my ass off because it's like "eeeeeEEEEEEEEEeee" *rewind noise* "eeeeeeeeEEEEEeeee" *rewind noise* "eeeeEEEEEEEEEeeee" *rewind noise* and so forth.

I think I want to meet your mom. (if that can be taken normally. Please.)
Anyways, I first thought that the clip at the end was in French.

Wow, I didn't even know there was a piano version of this song. I absolutely adore it. It does funny things to my mind and it makes me miss the seaside so very much.
I love listening to it, when I walk home from work in the middle of the night, it's like I am creating my own environment to walk home into.

ohohohohohoh. i went to godrevy point on friday, drove past the towans as the sun was setting, and looked at godrevy island where only birds live now and it was BEAUTIFUL. i spent days staring at it from st ives bay last summer, so it had this sort of mystical association for me. but it lived up to it, it was wonderful. the rocks and rip tides and power of the atlantic ocean and springy grass and blackbirds singing and a pink sunset and the lighthouse itself. ay me! full romantic poet a-go-go in me!

I'll upload the piano version when I'm at home if there's demand for it? It's incredible.

I think this is one of my fave songs of Patricks... I dont know why it wasnt on the album because its fantastic but it was a gem to find and now i hold it as one of the many of my faves. The beautiful and haunting opening and Patricks voice is just stunning and the imagery the song puts in your head is just astounding if you have a big imagination like me...
I just love it sooooo much and i think its the best B-side pretty much, or maybe a close second after Adder... but still fantastic! I love it!

I adore this song so much. I've always wanted to listen to it while on a long walk along the beach for some reason, I feel like that's kind of what its made for
