I love 'Godrevy Point'.
I'm really glad that we're getting all these delicious b-sides this time around, too - there were a few songs trickled out during the Lycanthropy period that I would have loved to have heard on record, 'Beastiality' especially, which I'm not sure we'll ever hear it at all now.

The live-version is fantastic. I'm very curious about the outcome of this song. Did Patrick put some strange surprising sounds in it or will it be pure Patrick? And yes, 'Beastiality' is great. There is a live-Version on the internet, I just can't remember exactly where it can be found.

He did put a piece of another song (sounds like something taditional) at the end. Maybe you do know this song.

It might sound a bit "big headed", but it feels like this song was written for me. I'm deeply touched and moved by it!
I feel like wandering in britanny, on a clifftop, where the grass is high, the wind strong and I can here the sea...
I dance and turn around, olding my skirt so that the wind might not show too much of my legs, and then I rise my hands up thinking "oh whatever", and I'm happy looking at the sky before falling down, in the grass and flowers, and have a deep, content and satisfied breath...

If anyone's interested, Godrevy point (a peninsula in Cornwall) has a lighthouse on. Not any old lighthouse though, it's the one where Virginia Wolfe set To the Lighthouse. I only found this out recently, but now the line great great minds against themselves conspire makes so much more sense. I'd always thought about her when I heard that line though, as I have a friend who often reminds me a lot of Virginia Wolfe and she's a lot like that - she doesn't do herself any favours by thinking too much... I spent a lot of time in Cornwall as a child but I can't remember going there, I'm going to have to ask my parents if I did. It looks beautiful though: www.westcountryviews.co.uk/coastal/godrevy/godrevy.htmAnd some stuff about the lighthouse itself, if you like lighthouses: www.godrevy.devisland.net

Oooohhhh! It's exactly how I imagined it, not as "wild" as in my imagination's memory, but still: there's the see, the cliff and the grass&flowers...
