I don't like this; and I'm sorry but I really just don't want to hear another pop song about his relationships. I feel like back in the WITW era, his songs were about something more than that; with strong surreal, philosophical, poetic elements. I can hear something like 'time of my life' from any 80's pop musician if I really wanted to (I don't). I hope the album has something better.

I have no desire to really play the song again.
My mum likes it, but according to her it doesn't top Damaris. Haha.

this is a strange beast! (what is it - pop, MOR?)
I heard echoes of Bluebells nostalgia at the beginning....but not so happy as it progressed - have only listened a few times though ... ...and it is the candidate for the wider public so I guess no pointer for the album as a whole. Bet it morphs into gold when its live!

Bet it morphs into gold when its live! Agreed! Patrick is best when he isn't trying to be anything, when he is just singing to people.

so, the song isn't even out in stores yet and it's already stuck in my head...awsome, amazing, out-of-this-world song, but it's pretty deep in there and not coming out. "Happy without you! Happy without you!"

i'm not too keen on the remixes though. I love the original one the best.

now, is there any way to convert that godawful .wav file that was offered if you sign up to the mailing list again? Has anybody uploaded or sent you a converted version yet? I converted it to .mp3 about a second after the .wav finished downloading. I figure since it's a free file as is, it wouldn't be horrible to post it somewhere, although I don't want to just put it up, since it might keep people from signing up for the mailing list if they haven't already.

Don't know if anyone else has posted this info about the song yet, but I could only find the 7" to buy from the PW store, and not the 12" version with those funky remixes as b-sides. However, I just pre-ordered the 12" version for £4.79 from www.normanrecords.com. It says it will ship the day of release. Hope this pleases fellow 12" lovers out there :pxx

Finally got down to listening to it. It's alright, but I agree with the people who like the version on the battle megamix more. I hope that version gets released as a b-side or something...

I think it's the limited 7"/12" vinyl single only. Which is bad, because that means I won't get to hear the b-side until I get a turntable. /t

In my confirmation email there's a link that says "click here to download" ... exactly what the download is referring to I don't know, because the link just takes me to my friebrand profile which has nothing but my order history in it. Anyone?

Yeah, mine says that too... and if you click on the order details it says "Download Link: Not available".
