I think much of it is very ho-hum, though his lyrics are occasionally funny and he has some great songs. Like Interview...

He is one of my absolute favorites! I love what he does, I just wish I could see him live someday...

Well, he played on Lycanthropy, so it's kinda natural...

That he did, but I didn't find that out until a few weeks ago. I don't read things very closely, often to my detriment.

I do like him. Not enough to say that he's a fantastic artist but I think his first album's great. The second one is ok... Very interesting and strange, but it's too much to actually listen through.
He's best when he's slightly funny or ironic. I think.

Well, he played on Lycanthropy, so it's kinda natural... Speaking of other Patrick collaborations- you guys ought to check out Joe Zeitlin. He played cello on Lycanthropy, and creates his own electronic soundscapes (as best as I can describe them)

Meanwhile back at the ranch; Bookish really ought to publicise himself more. He seems so reclusive, poor soul. Anyone catch him during the Caucasian Chalk Circle tour? He was 'The Singer'.

p.s. 'Interview' ftw tikwid- and to all others: www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJP3pFQ7BO4

I like simon bookish, but i don;t know how much i could ever warm to him. he's definitely one of these clever-music types who should be respected for wit/irony but live runs the risk of not really working (i wouldn't know, having not seen him live, and given the chance i would most probably check him out). Basically, he intrigues me having said that, bishi's song jeremy featuring simon bookish is atcually one of my favourite songs. i think i shall listen now.

I think that most people get hung up on his wit/humor/irony/lack thereof. To me, he has a really great voice to which I really enjoy listening, especially against all those electronic noises. If there's anything in this world I love unequivocally, it is electronic noises. And I like what he does with them.

I like Interview a lot. The other songs are good, not great. I am still undecided on Simon Bookish.
Love the name though.

One of my favorites is Richard of York, for the "in a tent/intent" phrase mostly.

I have checked him out before and he's quite weird/interesting, and I like Invasion, the words/sounds are great! But from what I've heard it's not really something I'd really listen to a lot, just you know, not feelin' it as much as other music.
I kind of feel this way about No Bra too actually.
