You know what?
I totally hate The Blower's Daughter by Damien Rice. Sorry Florence. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but something about it just makes me want to claw body parts off of myself.
So naturally I'm a bit pissed that it's all the way up at number 8. I mean, come on. I'd put Mr. Brightside (I almost typed Mr. Brighteyes there LOLLL CONOR I <3 U) above that song. I really don't listen to the Killers, but Christ - I gotta say, everytime I'm in a pseudo-high fashion clothing store and that song starts playing through their speakers, I cannot resist myself. I sing. I dance. It is seriously such a good song. The best that band ever made.
And God, I really like the Arcade Fire and all - but Jesus that's a lot of singles!!!
Glosoli by Sigur Ros. Mmmm. Yesss. I adore that one to pieces. I'm glad that's on the list.
And the Scientist by Coldplay - though they're a bit overrated now, (and with that I pretty much mean their third album - it's really just okay. Rush of Blood to the Head was their best) I still have a bit of a soft spot for them. And that was a good single for them.
Such Great Heights by the Postal Service is wonderful. Such a perfect song.
B.O.B. by Outkast? I think I've actually never heard this song. For shame. I love Hey Yah! lots.
And, why is Kanye West's Diamonds From Sierra Leon lower than Jesus Walks?! It's obviously better. Jeesh.

He's called Panda Bear. Real name is Noah Lennox. He's the drummer from Animal Collective. Very sexy man. He was my avatar for a while. Few solo albums under his belt. The first two were irritatingly lo-fi but the new one, Person Pitch, is by far his best effort so far. Also, his Animal Collective songs such as Derek (Strawberry Jam) and Winter's Love (Sung Tongs) are a good place to start if you like Bros. Then listen to the rest of Animal Collective. God, did you even READ my post? No, actually! Sorry. Was pretty tired and couldn't concentrate very well

You know what? I think we can all take solace in the lack of singles by The View.

You should be sorry! I'm incredibly offended. (actually, it's not even close to being one of my favourite Damien Rice songs, but still... <3 ) And, why is Kanye West's Diamonds From Sierra Leon lower than Jesus Walks?! It's obviously better. Jeesh. I didn't even realise Diamonds was on the list... I read through Josh's list. I must have missed it. How confusing But naaah, Jesus Walks > Most other songs.

JESUS WALKS IS GREATNESS. and the view are OK. "wasted little dj's" is good, but they're not OUTSTANDING like, say, the yeah yeah yeahs.
oh yeah, "cheated hearts" has to be on the list.

For some reason I can relate in my head the entirety of the 'Jesus walks' music video, but I can't recall how the song went. It included fire, crucifixes, and white hoodies.
I worship Franz Ferdinand but I think Take Me Out is one of their weakest songs, really. At least compared to Dark of the Matinee or the other gems on the first album.

Does 'Where Is My Mind?' count? It seems strange to me that a single, which was recorded in the 20th century could be classified as the greatest single of this century. Song is still dope though.
They must be big Arcade Fire fans over there.
'Hung Up' should be number one.

I wasn't even aware Where Is My Mind was re-released to be honest. And Pixies are my favouritest band. There is a conspiracy afoot.
