Yes to Florence and Josh. I like the idea of the non-english speaking section, really nice idea. I don't have anything to contribute right now, I'm distracted by lunch.

Don't integrate the threads, there's an option to do that on the profiles, people can do that themselves.
We really don't need more mods.

The only mod we have on the general sections is Jay since Laura and Jess don't come here much, if ever. I think it's fairer and more community-ish to have more than one mod, I'd think that even if I wasn't the one being put forward.. honest!

^ and if nowt else it's just a bit of fun. I see no way new mods would be harmful to anything so I don't thing there's really a soild case against the idea.
Sorry Sibz, think you're being a bit "negative for the sake of it" here with all due respect.

only thing i'll say is beware all the regular posters becoming mods. it can end up killing a forum if the only regular posters are the mods! need to keep some plebs around here, and they should out number the mods!

Sorry Sibz, think you're being a bit "negative for the sake of it" here with all due respect. 1. Remember how much better it was when Bushman was the only mod? Not really. I wouldn't say the quality of moderation here has ever particularly registered with me enough for me to consider it "much better" at any point in the past (other than perhaps the days of Jess' erm... idiosyncratic moderation) Though I would agree the Bushman mod days were mint cos he couldn't be arsed to the point he just did everything I told him to. Haha. Oh come off it Sibzford, you know me better than that. Also you know at this point in my life I'm hardly likely to care enough to contrive my opinion over some trivial internet BS. I just think these "reforms" will be kinda fun and stand an off chance of making this place a bit more interesting. I can't see the logic behind your counter-arguments to them, but that may be my failing.

'aye' for moving the threads in question to the community room. NO. because it's not [music/lit/film] but [music/lit/ART]. Why destroy the art section? We have an outstanding amount of creative heads around here. It should absolutely stay - at least an art section. Alternatively, what about a 'creative room' as subsection in the community room for own art, music, poems and so on? here . I second the idea.

^ my bad! yes, i'm for creating a 'creative room' in the community area for what you just described... that sounds pretty cool. who wants to mod that?
i was thinking about you as a mod as well for that section. if you're up for it, it'll all be put into place tonight.

I can't see the logic behind your counter-arguments to them, but that may be my failing. You can, because you've bitched about the implimentation of mods every other time apart from this when it just happens to be you. If you really think there should be more mods, have a vote and let the users decide if there should be, and who they should be. Alternatively, what about a 'creative room' as subsection in the community room for own art, music, poems and so on? This is a good idea.

I've bitched about mod's decisions before but never the actual implimentation of mods. I believe mods should just be there for organisation purposes. I remember being pretty encouraging before when Melba and co first go modship and later with Laura and Jess. Trust me, don't challenge me to a memory-off you.will.not.win. I'm willing to go with the "election" idea but it seems a really drawn out way of going about it when you could have someone who'd be as good as anyone else organising the new forums like..right now. Does anyone have any real specific OPPOSITION to me, Florence, Rhi etc being mods? Must say Sibz, you'd make an excellent mod

^ i completely agree with you here. i was actually going to ask if you'd like to be mod of the common room i was also considering asking florence to join you? if she likes. and i really do think rhianne would be a great wolf pack mod, but it's up to her, of course. I'll totally do this with Josh, yeah I would have completely shied away from doing it on my own but to be honest I reckon we would make an effective team. And Rhianne would be great for the Wolf Pack if she is willing, and Anna would be awesome for the Community Room too. Also Sibz, I see where you're coming from but I really can't see me and Josh (if we do end up doing it) interfering with lots of stuff, because you know how much Josh hates when threads get locked and so on, and I'm the same. I don't mind it being done democratically though. Also, a Creative room sounds like a good idea! In the current 'art' section, it's not just for people to post their own poety and artwork and stuff - that's only a couple of threads - so people tend to be more shy when it comes to making a new thread about a project which they are doing etc. But if there was a whole section dedicated to personal creativity that would be a nice feature.

I'd be happy to contribute as a french moderator for the non-english section, if it's possible I've never been a moderator, but it could be a way to learn
