Okay first of all: omg teh picture LOLOLOLOLOLZ. Best. Thing. Ever. Is that like, A RHINESTONE HAIRBRUSH?? IS THAT WHAT HE USES TO BRUSH HIS HAIR?? AND LIP SYNC HIS FAVORITE BRITNEY SONGS INTO?? Good God. I love it so much. I am so showing it to everyone I know... SECOND OF ALL BUT MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL: Wolf and his handlers have taken special care to keep as many of these upcoming gigs all ages as possible. Indeed, only the San Francisco one is 21+.Now wait here. Waitwaitwaitwaitwait. DOES THIS MEAN TORONTO IS SUDDENLY MAGICALLY ALL AGES ALSO??? I JUST DON'T KNOW ANYMORE. I AM SO PARANOID. P.S. Awww thornykins. I am so sad for you. Oh my god. You have no idea. That just sucks so bad. I shall cyber-hug you.

I'm going anyway to Toronto, so I'll see you all there. I'm sure I can fake ID my way in. I'll just borrow my friends.
And at least this will be one show where I won't be the only one waiting around after to meet the musician.

Maybe it means that Toronto is 19+. Because it is. Especially with that venue, and on ticketmaster, etc....
Pitchfork just pretends that it's different because Canada's age restriction isn't insane like a certain other country.
I only sound negative because it is sucky! I want Christina to come!!!!
Oh, the picture. Oh, the picture.

Okay first of all: omg teh picture LOLOLOLOLOLZ. Best. Thing. Ever. Is that like, A RHINESTONE HAIRBRUSH?? I'm probably ruining your fun, but aren't those nails sticking out of it? (the kinds you hammer. Unless you hammer your fingers.) The picture frightens me. I was wondering why it was on a Patrick Wolf piece, and then I realized it must be him. Eep eep. This all confused me. But I hope you get to make it, Christina. Somehow? I've seen a Wolf gig once already, so perhaps it isn't horrible. Booh. Don't be too sad for me, but thanks for comfort. Perhaps I'll wait and see if ticketweb verifies the restriction.

Victoria... I just checked Lee's Palace's website, and HE'S NOT FREAKING LISTED YET. HOWEVER, it says that unless specified, all concerts are 19+. BUT SOME SHOWS ACTUALLY ARE SPECIFIED AS BEING ALL AGES. TICKETMASTER COULD BE WRONG, YOU KNOW. I just hope they update their website soon. And to me, they will always be rhinestones. Even if they're obviously not. Edit: ...yeah. I think they're nails. Hmm. Nails in a microphone... COULD THIS BE A REALLY INTENSE, HIDDEN METAPHOR FOR SOMETHING?? Or am I just really crazy...

Yea I'm pretty sure Patrick's show at Lee's is 19+, the doors are at 9, most all ages show are earlier in the day. It's only 19+ because they serve drinks, I don't know if there's a way that you can guarantee them that you're not going to drink, but unfortunately they probably won't take your word for it. Lee's very rarely has an all ages show, and they're pretty strict with the IDs according to some other friends. Sorry Daniel you should join our special effects team! Where are you moving from? And Christina, there are no windows at Lee's Palace! But you could always leave a message on P Dubs myspace saying your under 19 but want to go to the show! and maybe he'll put you on the list like he has mentioned previously in a blog! i'm moving from wales, britain and studying at uot for a year. very excited now, i don't know how i'll sleep tonight! i'm flying premium class (so that i can take more stuff) so i might just take advantage of the complimentary wine to calm myself! what's lee's palace actually like as a venue? i might take a while to reply as i'll prob be without internet access for a little while xx Oh what an adventure! Lee's Palace is an ideal venue if you're just there to hang out and see the band, but it isn't so ideal because the stage is taller than me, and yes I am very short. But there's a bar at the back, coat check on the second floor, bathrooms on the second floor, and the Dance Cave on the second floor. I'm hoping Patrick could DJ after his set haha. Have fun at U of T!

*Sigh*. Well, we'll see. Errghh. Frusteration. See, where I live, the venues are bars too, but what they do is they give everyone who's 21 and over a special wristband that tells the bartenders that they are of legal age to order drinks. So then the shows are always all ages. You and Victoria should start a Change-Some-Nightclub-Rules Revolution up there in Toronto.

hahah well once again it's just specific venues. The Kathedral, Reverb and Mod Club do that, but Lee's likes to be different, only because I feel it makes it easier for them. You should just try getting a fake ID, although you look pretty young

Haha yeah I really don't think I'd pass for 19 judging by looks. Neither would my friend (she'd have to come too no doubt).
Oh well. So far, we plan on having one of our parents take us on a really random trip to Toronto for that weekend. And then we'll just conveniently sort of attempt to get into Lee's Palace on that night...

Well, looks are hard to go by. I'm 21 and I look... maybe 18? I don't know, but certainly not my age. Sometimes, I walk about campus and I go "Wow, everyone looks so old and mature." And I... do not. Hah. Though, if I go towards the side of campus with freshmen housing, I feel much better about myself... I have some vague hopes for this whole thing. Not much, to be entirely honest, but we'll see.

I feel your pain Thornykins. Come to LA with me! Yep, I kind of refuse to let both Final Fantasy and Owen Pallet go unwatched, and since there is absolutely nothing to be done about the FF show, (21 with braces? yeh right.) I will be taking my cousins to disneyland during my fall break. And then seeing Patrick Wolf. Hopefully this shall work out.
