The show last night was really lovely, Patrick was in top form and very friendly with all of us. Can't imagine how the show in June could possibly measure up to last night, but I'm looking forward to being surprised ;D From my memory notes (that I thought were destroyed by the rain but happily were not, thank god for sharpies) the set was: The Messenger Oblivion Pigeon Song Magpie (failed after a minute on the piano) Damaris Wind In the Wires Augustine Blackdown Bluebells Who Will? Hard Times Theseus The Bachelor Tin Angel (a Joni Mitchell cover; throughout the show he mentioned how her songs had given him romantic dreams of Bleeker Street when he was young) The Magic Position (someone requested this earlier in the show and he'd scoffed, saying "I have many better songs than that, trust me". But he played it anyways, and it was really beautiful and I'm kicking myself for not taping it) Vulture The Sun is Often Out Patrick definitely didn't play "Land's End" as the SPIN article mentions; he said something about playing it, but then went on to a different song ("Theseus"?). Here are a couple videos (I'll post "Damaris", "Vulture" and "The Sun Is Often Out" next week, after my Vimeo bandwidth cap resets) Pigeon SongThe BachelorTheseus

Thank you so much for the Theseus video. That performance made me really really happy.

I'm glad that you guys are enjoying the clips, Lauren & flourescence. This show really was something special so it only seems right to share it with everyone who couldn't be there.
