i've got a theory--
IT DOESN'T MATTERRR!
what you think of my attempts at being interesting. besides, i promise they'll be convincing enough, so maybe you'll stop making me wear that ridiculous costume at night.

i'd want a uv tattoo of the cheshire cat with only his smile done in black, so under a black light you'd see the cheshire cat but then remove it to normal light and he'd disssappear leaving only his grin. shame the ink causes cancer, or whatever. but i think that'd be such fun.

the long term effects of it aren't known as they're relatively new, but um, YEAH.

I totally dig the idea! the ink IS a problem factor tho.

You can buy specific products for tattoos, but I was told just to use a plain unscented moisturizer (i used aveeno) ... I guess it depends how bad it is, mine healed really fast.

Ooooh that's cool. This is purely hypothetical, because I am terrified of pain, but out of interest, has anyone here done a homemade tattoo in any way shape or form? Can you put biro ink into yourself without getting some kind of 'I AM ANGRY WHAT ARE YOU DOING' from your skin?

It's a rainbow unicorn with a bow and a heart on its butt! I love it! I haven't done this myself, but I watched my friend give herself a tattoo using India ink and a needle. I wouldn't recommend stabbing yourself with a biro. I found this tutorial to be a pretty interesting read.

I have a couple in mind that I really, really want, but... it's the bit where you have to go into the tattoo place, and ask the big bald guy with the bleeding swastika on his fat neck if he'll do Max from Where the Wild Things Are and 'this thing from the last Harry Potter book' that puts me off. The hysterical laughter and outright scorn scares me more than the pain...

Haha! That sounds like a comedy sketch and a half.
Our local tattoo parlour is called 'Marks and Punctures'. This is my favourite name ever, because it is a wonderful pun. The guy who runs it is called Mark and they also do piercings. IT'S ALL MIXED TOGETHER! Anyway, we saw him on TV the other day, laughing his head off at the Comedy Gala.

...or just don't. don't pierce yourself either. if you really want to know why, google pictures of mrsa and find out what it actually looks like.
