I like tattoos, but I don't have any because I'm sixteen. That being said, I knew quite a few people my age who do have them already. Voilathestars, yours is wicked. And yes, we do have this thread a lot. Thank you ;D,I get a lot of different feedback because of that tattoo. It is quite fun when some people wonder if I'm a lunatic.

I got a text on thursday from my uncle following my results that said 'Now that you have an ology, no more tattoos. You can't go around looking like a Hells angel!' It make me laugh. I really like tattoos, but I think a lot of people get them without thinking and regret it.

I designed all of these. The two at the top are on each side of my right ankle. The left is on the inside, and says "I believe in something" in a code I've used for years. It's a lot less wishy-washy than it sounds, and, long description short is my belief system summed up in one phrase. It's basically saying that I do feel there's something out there, but I don't think we're supposed to understand it, so I prefer not to name it. The one on the top right is a symbol I've been using since I was a kid, and is also the symbol of the main character in the video game I've been making and constantly reworking since I was twelve. The one on the bottom, I want to get in the middle of my upper back. It has a lot of personal meaning, but I'll save you all the long description (plus part of it is rather geeky, and that's something I'll keep to myself, haha). I'm definitely someone who believes in thinking through my tattoos before I get them. I'll probably change that last design up a few more times before I get it. I want to let it sit for a year or so, with me making adjustments and getting completely happy with it before I go and get it. (The ones on my ankle, I had designed for years before I got them) Sorry for the watermark. Pic is on photobucket, and I don't want it ending up on some random stranger.

I watched a bit of LA Ink the other day and it annoyed the crap out of me how they treated someone with an actually ORIGINAL tattoo like a freak, while waxing sentimental about the hundreds of swallows and pinups and koi-fish and wings and Celtic sleeves they scrawl on other people. Bleh. Each to their own but I think if you're going to commit to something so radical it'd better be special. The only idea I like at the moment is Sibz's. But then, nobody needs my approval. Which is the nice thing about tattoos.

I would like to have "the albion sails on course" in my cursive in an old fashioned banner pulled by birds done just about my shoulder blades in white ink.
Whether or not this will ever be done remains in question.

AGH, SEUSS. What a marvelous idea. I saw some of his more mature paintings at a random exhibition in Lake Tahoe in June. So wonderful. Oh man, I would consider the Lorax. Perhaps opposite my non-existent tattoo of Happycat.

My tattoos are all very discreet and personal. Planning on a less discreet design soon though. Ooh err.

I'm too scared of pain to get a tattoo. Also scared that my favourite tattoo idea is to have "ASA NISI MASA" tattood in tiny writing on my left wrist and I'll probably be so pissed off in later life for being so pretentious... And on the inside of an arm I would like a Japanese Lucky Cat with its right paw waving. And somewhere else I would like a tiny swallow. In a heart. Or the word "Paris" in a heart.

^ It is so individually if you think it hurts or not, and it depends a lot where you are getting your tattoo.. and the design of it. I thought it hurted, but it was worth it.

it has been brought to my attention that i need to be more of a badass, so i've come to this thread for ideas. however, i now realize that tattoos absolutely do not suit me, but body modification in general is interesting.
at the moment, i'm leaning towards having my fingernails grow out and eventually sharpening them into makeshift claws though it may be best to simply attach those press-on things and shape some claws out of 'em or pilfer some bear paws off a bear. i suppose. i'm not really into that whole fur business really, only the claws, or eat a bearclaw... maybe that. after grabbing some tasteful nail polish. in all likelihood not off the bear.
ok, that's the plan. thank you wolfboard

those sound tasteful, yet fancy. i may be coming back around to the idea of a tattoo. but for precisely the opposite reason. see, new plan is: find some tatted up witch doctor-lookin' fella to conjure an image for me that is illusionary yet still firmly rooted in reality...to really sell it. like, a drawn-in watch, or, a shark the length of my spine about to eat my head. i need conversation pieces/distractions more than the next guy.
