cmj, What was Patti Smith like? ive never listened to her music. was her live performance good? Not for me to answer, but she was actually pretty interesting. I'd never listened to her stuff before, but she was really entertaining. She read some of her own and some of Dylan Thomas' poems, recited old lyrics, sang a hanful of her own songs and just talked about her life as she answered people's questions. Patrick accompanied her on violin and harmonium [not at the same time!] while she recited some poetry. It was just a bit lovely ^_^ Oh, and I felt the same when reading the blog on the myspace too. I'm so glad to have been there! Also, Patrick and Ed were super friendly and super easy to chat to. It's nice to know some so-called celebs are still decent people! x:]

it was after patti smith - we were sitting right behind ed larrikin for it so whilst waiting for her to come on we had a lovely chat with ed wow thats so cool! knowing me, i wouldn't actually have the guts to talk to him. i get really shy around people that i look up to. When Patrick said thank you to me as he walked by me after the boathouse show i just kinda murmered/squelled - if only i had said something more interesting! cmj, What was Patti Smith like? ive never listened to her music. was her live performance good? I thought she was good, a lot of her poetry was good. She obviously wasn't very good at guitar, but no-one really cared she knew she wasn't anyway. really interesting voice, I'm looking forward to hearing the collaboration with Patrick (I hope Patrick has quite a bit of influence musically)
