I just got rid of my top friends. sad and liberating. anyone stalking me will now have to be more resourceful and read my comments. although if they were stalking me they probably already did

I just stalked Oats, and one of his pictures is commented by a guy (who I don't particularly like, admittedly) who I went to school with...
SMALL WORLD.

I'm not in your list at all. Because someone deleted me But yes, back to the point, my list is full of internet friends too....mostly because my real-life friends have moved on to facebook.

No wolfies on my top friends. Would need an actual meeting then a lot of spending-time-with-eachother and not just msn and phonecalls. I dunno, in my opinion I don't think someone can truly be a friend until you collide in the real world..

I overheard a conversation between two people in my year. It went something like.
GIRL A: Oh my god I have something BARE cool to tell you, Girl B. GIRL B: What? Is it about GUY A?? GIRL A: Yeah....I just know that he likes me. Remember how he commented on my layout and how it was well fuckerred!! GIRL B: I remember that- and the time he commented on your profile song. GIRL A: Well, actually, I was on his profile last night..... GIRL B: AND. Telll me.... GIRL A: I noticed something..... GIRL B: What??? Tell me!!! Did you get a shout out!?!?! GIRL A: NO!!! GIRL B: What?? GIRL A: I kept refreshing the page every few seconds, to see if he was editing anything on his profile. And.....He put me on his top fifteen list for like ten seconds last night!!! It's a sign!! GIRL B: Awww that is sooo romantic!! You guys will make such a good couple!! Hugzzz!! This is BARE good news. He is soooo obviously into you. Let's spend the whole weekend taking buff pics of ourselves.

I dunno, in my opinion I don't think someone can truly be a friend until you collide in the real world.. My definition of a friend is someone who has your back, listens to you, makes you laugh and stimulates you. My Wolfcrew do all that in spades. Yeah actually meeting someone is a pretty important part of it, but thats all to come and in July and beyond when I get a job and go on the Lemon Bloody Cola UK tour 2007/08. I get what you mean, but the people I dig from here ARE my friends, they'll just be even more so in the future. It would be utterly insulting to people like Ceylan, Sophie and Jessica not to class them as friends after all they've done for me. I think it's a misconception to look at friends you've met online as some sort of virtual "alternative" to real life interaction. I don't view it like that at all. I view internet friendship as a precursor to 'real' friendship. If it was going to be msn and forum lead entirely I wouldn't bother. I think it's great that we have the technology now that we aren't stuck with the populaces of our local areas or the school/college/work environments we are placed in and that we can pick and choose from a much larger base of people in order to find the people we relate to and feel comfortable with. It's really nothing to be ashamed of. It's just a part of life now, in 2007. Btw no disrespect to any of the awesome people in my top friends, but the top friends list was a sort of injoke/novelty to poke fun at how sucked into this forum I've been in the last couple of months, but even before there was a ton of wolfboarders on there.

It's really nothing to be ashamed of. It's just a part of life now, in 2007. I did emphasise that it was my opinion. And I do get on with a couple of people on here really well. And I'm not in any way devaluing your friendships on here. If you got that impression then you totally got the wrong idea of what I was saying. And anyway. The MySpace Top 8 is possibly the most absurd concept on the internet. Putting friends in order? Why the fuck would you even want to do that!?
