Yeah. 5 ASs obligatory Some people did 6/7 AS Levels, I think. But they were like Further Maths that count for 2. 4 A2s obligatory and then General Studies. We've got a counterpart Girls School as well (Devonport High School for Boys/Girls). That's a crazy amount of A.Ss! I go to an all girls grammar school and we only have to do 4.

Is that including General Studies? Because if it isn't then we're only doing 1 more. And mine's a grammar school, also. All boys...

Oh, we have to do a "supplimentary study" and a lot of people choose to do Critical Thinking A.S or General Studies. But we can do other things like a GCSE in a non-european language, Statistics or World Development. I chose GCSE Japanese

I'm done university in December!
I was originally enrolled in University for Computer Engineering but after a year I realized that it was not for me. A girl with pink hair swimming in a pool full of gross boys. It's a very competitive degree and it was very tough and I was at school from 8-6 and by the time I got home, I was too tired to do homework and wasn't motivated.
A year later, I switched into Arts and Contemporary Studies. As much as I felt like I didn't belong in that program, it helped increase my love for certain things that I had a passion for. So I focused on englishes and histories and social sciences. The program i'm in I feel is pretty good for making people socially aware while laying the ground work of great thinkers.
Everyone is always afraid of change or something that they have not experienced before, but everyone gets accustomed to it. Although, I should point out, higher education is not for everyone and as long as people are still learning and are open minded about a lot of things then they should not worry about not going to University.
I hope you all have fun during your first year of University! And remember, make mistakes, learn, and find your passion!

Are AS-levels like Scottish Highers?
I did five Highers (compulsory), and we do a minimum of four subjects in our final year, a mix of Advanced Highers and Highers, unless you're doing two Advanceds or Advanced Art (because it's a huge committment).

Um, I have a question. Is studying in London as expensive as everyone makes it out to be? Because at the moment, in my pathetic teenage I-need-constent-amusement-NOW state, I can't really imagine being anywhere else. YOu just need to know where to go to find cheap places, of course it is more expensive than other places but you can find good cheap places in London too. That is why I love being at uni in Manchester, muuuch cheaper than London and just as much to do but less hectic. I love coming home to London but Manchester is like a mini London and it is brilliant! as for General Studies...it is shit. We only did it at my school so it could boast that X% of the year managed 5 As at Alevel. (it was one of those schools that didn't like the girls to drop an AS for Alevel) I don't miss it at all

I've been flitting about on the internets for nigh on 6 years and I still don't know what FTW stands for.
