I love the girl playing Luna. Apparently she made her own radish earrings and everything for it.

Yeah, I can't wait for it either.
I'm equally excited about "The Northern Lights", or "The Golden Compass" as is it's American name.

I hear that, its probably my favourite book, and i really hope it doesnt disappoint and cut the religiousy bits out, like Weitz intended to do at the start. The cast is excellent and what ive seen of it so far it looks like its going to be fantastic.

I remember reading somewhere that The Golden Compass was going to be the title here, too, although this could be absolute bollocks. I've been wrong before. The previews look gorgeous, though. As for Order of the Phoenix, I'm very excited about this one; it's my favourite of the Potter books, although there's so much of it, I'm not sure how they're going to fit it all into one film. Cheerio, Michael. xxx

And I can definitely live without Rita Skeeter. That woman made me want to drop an anvil on my book.

"His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass (2007) aka "His Dark Materials: Northern Lights" - UK"
From imdb. I want them to make a film of the "Wind on Fire" trilogy. The third childrens series that I love.

Oh my god, YES!
That book was utterly sublime! I read it when I was in Vietnam last year and had completely forgotten about it.

"His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass (2007) aka "His Dark Materials: Northern Lights" - UK" That's according to the Incorrect Movie Database, though. They're so frequently wrong. I want a 'Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell' BBC adaptation. Ew. All mouth and no trousers; overwrought, emotionally void bollocks. Cheerio, Michael. xxx

I want a 'Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell' BBC adaptation. That would make my life. Susanna Clarke also has a book of short stories out now. The only reason I haven't gotten it is because I have no money whatsoever. Of the His Dark Materials trilogy, I think the first one is my favorite because I love the Panserbjørne so much.

I am going to have the most hardcore Harry Potterific July this year. July 13th - Order of the Phoenix July 20th-21st - Midnight Party/Deathly Hallows Release July 24th - FREE HARRY AND THE POTTERS SHOW. With other various Wizard Rock bands. Naturally I am mostly excited for this...
Anyways, the new movie looks really awesome from what I've seen, seems very dark, like Alfonso's Azkaban was. And I like that, I think the book calls for that. But this year I have much more of a fear of being slightly disappointed, as I've heard it's the shortest movie in the series yet made, even though the book is the longest. And I have such a passion for the book, because it's pretty much my favorite ever. But I'm sure it'll be grand, all except for perhaps the first two (looking back on those is like, yuck) have been.

Whooo! I'm going to a midnight party too! And if I don't go to one, I'm having one! It's my last chance to dress up like a fool to get a book

I'll be doing the whole 'buying the book at midnight' bit, mostly because it'll probably be the last time I'll ever get to buy a book at midnight, at least outside of a service station.

I have not yet been to one for any previous book so I basically HAVE to go this time. If I don't, it'd be a mortal Wizardly Sin!
AND I AM SO DRESSING UP NO MATTER WHAT MY MOM SAYS!
