awesome, good stuff I've been trying to figure out the gypsy king for ages. Your tab sounds nice! Thankyou. Its not precise but is passable. Any comments on the Landsend one?

hey ho, I am a newbie. Wondering if anyone has the tab for 'the railway house'? as I'd love to play it on baritone uke, but I just can't figure it out.

I'd love the railway house aswell but i'm usless at working these things out.
I think the childcatcher is just Am, Em, F, Em (i think it's Em at the end, i'm not sure) Am, Em, F, G - for the run, run, run...part.

Well... I've got a strange feeling I'm gonna have to buy a uke after all and say goodbye to my old fellow guitar:-[! And since Patrick himself invited me to smash it (when I met him last monday in Brussels yeah yeah! ) Hum... A soprano ukelele shouldn't be too expensive, and they're not all that difficult to find, either, though they do tend to be dwarfed, hidden amongst a lot of guitars. My ukelele is bright green, although I'm not too adept at playing it, given I have scary spider fingers. I've been looking for a Baritone uke that won't break the bank for a while now. Cheerio, Michael. xxx

Well, I've played Pigeon Song several times now, and since I'm the kind of "guitar player" who likes it most easy, I develloped another way to play it. Ahem, I went to listen to the song again and tried to work it out by myself, for once... Use a capo on the first fret if you want to stick to the album version, and then play it like this (well, consider that E is F, A is Bb, D is D# etc. because of the capo) And you may add a little note here and ther to fill the gaps ;D e---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- B-----------0-----0------------------0-----0-------------------0-----0---------- G-------2------2-------2---------2------2-----2-----------2------2------2----- D---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A---0----------------------------------------------------------------------------- E-----------------------------0-------------------------2-------------------------

More elaborate version for Pigeon Song
e------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- B-----------0-----0---------------0----0------------0----0----------------0----0-------- G-------2------2---------------2----2-------------2----2---------------2-----2--------- D-----------------------2----------------------2-----------------2------------------------- A---0--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- E---------------------------0----------------------2------------------2----------------4--
And if you're really really really lazy, you may even tune up your D and G strings into E and A (so you only have to use your hurting fingers for the bass string) ;D ;D ;D ;D

It was me who got the pigeon song tab(chords) to start with. i feel a sense of pride . It may have been completely wrong, so i wouldnt take it as gospel. Like the other ways of playing it theyre really good. If anyone could give a vague idea of how to play penzance on piano i would propose to them

Right here's London;- as far as i can tell:- (Am)Sundark on (Em) darker streets,(Am)its violent times for(Em) weary feet, (Am)carjackers and bu(Em)llet showers, (Am)a yellow sign, too many (Em)fools in power.
(G)but (Am) see... I will be go(C)ne by mo(D)rning, my dear(Em) Lond(G)on, good(Am)night, (C) forget me, (D) i wash myself in your (Em)grey, (G) river (Am) light.
Repeat
ie hard to do esp the "but see" bit. In the verses you can stick a (G) between the Am and Em if you want. I hope thats right. comments welcome

Wolf Song: (tune down 1/4 step)
G (xx5433) A (xx7655) Bm (xx9777) D (xx0232)
Part 1 l G l A l Bm l A l
Part 2 l D l D l G l A l
since it's really easy to find out when to play which part, you won't have any problems. oh, i wanted to post the intro too, but i don't have my guitar here, so i'll do that next time.
Souvenirs:
Fsus2 (x/8/10/10/8/8) D#sus2 (x68866) F#5 (xx467x) G#5 (xx689x) D#m (x68876)
Verse: (for the *picking* i'll write down the strings you have to pick) l Fsus2 l Fsus2 l D#sus2 l D#sus2 l *l ADBADBAD l ADGADGAG l ADBADBAD l ADBADBAD l*
Chorus: l F#5 l G#5 l *l DGBDGBDG l DGBDGBDG l* l D#m/D#sus2 l D#m/D#sus2l *kind of the same picking like D#sus2 in the verse but you have to hammer on the b-string (6h7) so it becomes D#m. i'm not sure myself, just listen to the song and try.*
