Another one of those stolen demo recordings has surfaced! soundcloud.com/bloodychambermusic/tomlSounds like the Battle megamix version of (Worst) 'Time of my Life', with the Lupercalia vocals. If anyone's listening, the Battle Megamix demo of 'Together' would make my dreams come true.

First off, there's the apparent news that the new song 'Wild Life' is coming out on March 30th and a new LP in May along with a tour. A snippet of the song can be found here - Wild Life (Note that it's released by 'Bloody Chamber Music', the name of Wolf's studio label). However, single, LP and tour are now being reported as false, this is from DIY Magazine - So, is someone just being extremely impatient with Wolf's next LP then? They're going to extraordinary lengths if so; they've got a leaked bit of song and new promotional, never before seen material (Patrick brandishing beetroot). Further digging reveals a youtube account in the name of Bloody Chamber Music Label, with the following information: All very odd if this is untrue. It appears to be professional and feasible, though I'd say that track list is a little too feasible for my liking: a bird song, check; Cornish place song, check; a couple titles from the patrickwolf.com website, check. It looks like someone has weaved together fragments of truth with a tailored falseness. Anyway, an update would be very much appreciated if you're reading this Patrick, on this as well as The Ghost Region. Along with a minimally designed website (chalkboard theme?) on which you could maybe post messages/updates/news/writings/pictures/fragments/everything. Just so everything can be in one place.

Aye, Edinburgh was overwhelming; amazing audience, a fantastic set with a couple of rarities - shed a few tears during a brilliant rendition of The Days.

Holy mother... thank you. Ooo so many untold treasures, I'm imagining The Matador to be The Libertine's Spanish cousin. Serpentine intrigues - slowly getting SD&RL extended edition. Thanks again! X

Hoping it'll be available at the Feb 8th Edinburgh show... dream tracklist:
1) Together (Battle Demo) 2) Time of My Life (Battle Demo) 3) Survival (Britney Spears reject) 4) Wild Life 5) Penzance (Sundark & Riverlight outtake)
+ Bonus tracks: 6) Eustacia and 7) Midnight (AKA Abolish Confusion)
That these tracks may all exist, buried in Patrick's song vault, simultaneously drives me to distraction and keeps me warm at night.

Huzzah. Lupercalia/Lemuralia. I'm excited: Wonder if it'll have the demo version of Time Of My Life that appeared all those years ago on the Battle Megamix? I liked the deep electronic vibe and the 'ching-cha-ching' guitar scratches. It sounds as if he sings "happy without you-eh-ho!"
Armistice is gorgeously produced, so rich and textured, it's bubbling out of my earphones and dripping on to my knees like honey.

I like the sound of 'Mercia'. I'm guessing it's song that digs into anglo-saxon ancestry and his relationship to the land and the like. Based on the name alone I can see why he's paired it with 'House': Mercia bordered Wessex in the Heptarchy; Thomas Hardy's fictional and prolific Wessex contained within it the wild of Egdon Heath in Return of the Native, which really is a fucking fantastic novel.
Huzzah for Mercia!
