Oh wow, YAAAAYYYYYYY!!! (But can I just say that Abolish Confusion sorta makes me laugh really hard sometimes? And will The Hairy Song be on this?! Oh this is going to be exciting...) WOO THE HAIRY SONG, its a travesty if that isn't released someday haha I am so excited now this is confirmed ;D ;D ;D and i needed cheering up Is this a mixture of bsides like the Marriage, Godrevy Point etc.? And unrecorded songs as well like Abolish Confusion? Either way Ooo i hope Theseus is on this, i really do love that song EDIT: do you think he might include 'Who Will'? I always loved the chorus to that, when he breaks into 'who will lay me down in green pastures...' mm beautiful

I'm sure 'The Hairy Song' was bandied about when The Acne Tapes was first mentioned, at the dawn of time itself.
'A Short Story' would be a nice addition.
I'm not sure about 'Theseus', though. Speculation, but I imagine these are demos he recorded when he was a nipper, and as far as I'm aware 'Theseus' was written and recorded live for the PlayLouder podcast.
It'd be nice to hear some more recent demos, though, to see how his style has evolved with each album. But, then again, I'm a terrible nerd.
Cheerio, Michael. xxx

Properly recorded versions of Abolish Confusion and Bestiality would be enough for me. Oh and some mental-sounding shit like the sonic mess halfway through The Childcatcher would be grand.

The Hairy Song, Bestiality and Abolish Confusion would be unreal yet lovely to hear properly recorded. I can't wait!

I can confirm that it's NOT a Tomlab release (not really a surprise, though). I sent them an e-mail and asked, and got a negative reply. I don't know about Loog, they've never been good at answering e-mails, and even worse with release dates.

I am highly excited! I have come to the rational decision that, if i can't be bothered to put iTunes on my computer (we have a disk to do this with..) I will just go and order it from HMV. They certainly won't stock it, if they do i'll eat my hat.

Straight outta Pitchfork: Given that Wolf has long championed unsung kindred spirits, it makes perfect sense that he's gone and started a label. Bloody Chamber Music, as he's christened it, will first see about reissuing in expanded form Wolf's two pre-Magic Position LPs-- 2004's Lycanthropy and 2005's Wind in the Wires-- before getting to the work of other artistes.www.pitchforkmedia.com/page/news/46749-patrick-wolf-starts-label-plans-reissues-takes-photos

I'm so excited! I haven't heard many of the songs you have all mentioned, so a rarities release is wonderful!

I've just had that song (I thought it might be a remix though?) for a while.. and it mentions the word 'Teratology'. That's about it.
