Hello to you all! My name is Christel icious. I'm 17 years old and I live in the Netherlands. I've been a Patrick Wolf fan for quite a few years now. I 'discovered' The Libertine when I was 13 or maybe just 14. Then he was a little bit too alternative for my little ears and I forgot about him. Fortunately when I grew older, his songs started to become more and more interesting to me. Especially The Bachelor and Magic Position albums really kept me listening. Now something else... I'm going to England next summer. *hurray* I don't want to be a random tourist that doesn't go past London and then says "Oh, yes... I've seen England." So... I've been inspired by a few things and people, and that brings us back to Patrick Wolf- I'm doing a Wolf-trip! Now my surname is Wolff, so it's pretty ironic. But also I'm gonna try to visit quite a few of the places that dear Patrick mentions in his songs. (I'm sure it has been done before, and perhaps I'm not original at all, but yeah... I came up with that idea and I was like "I'M TOTALLY GONNA DO THAT!") I'm most likely going to Penzance, Teighmouth, Land's End and and a few more. If you have some creative suggestions please share! Oh and another thing before I go: Does anyone know which lighthouse is used in the To the Lighthouse-videoclip? : )

Hi :) haha.. you remind me of a girl that went to school with me. Her name is Christina Wolff and sometimes she was called Christel. Also, your Wolf-trip.. (I'm sure it has been done before, and perhaps I'm not original at all, but yeah... I came up with that idea and I was like "I'M TOTALLY GONNA DO THAT!") I'm totally going to do the same one day ;D Will you travel alone?

hi haha, that's such coincidence! Depenting on how I'm able to save money (and if i pass my exams or not) I will most likely do the trip in 2011 or 2012. I don't know if I'm traveling alone. I think I will since most of my friends don't like or don't know Patrick. They did like the -going to England- idea, but they didn't feel like any Wolf-adventures :') oh boring people, haha

Penzance, Teignmouth and Land's End are all ROUGHLY in the same area, but London is miles away from all of them, so you should sort out your travel plans! The lighthouse MENTIONED in the song is probably the lighthouse on Godrevy Point, in Cornwall. But I don't know if it's that one in the video Good luck!

Penzance, Teignmouth and Land's End are all ROUGHLY in the same area, but London is miles away from all of them, so you should sort out your travel plans! When I do that trip I would probably start in London and take a train to Penzance. Nationalrail.co.uk says it takes ~5h30min and prices start from 47,50GBP. Is this the train route where you can see the sea for a long time? Like here?? Then I would go to Land's End, St Ives and back to Penzance. I've read that either you can take a coach or just walk. For walking this page might be extremely helpful! Hostels or guesthouses aren't the cheapest there so it would be the best to have a tent. That's also why I don't want to travel alone. Then I'd take a train to Teignmouth and from there back to London. Yeah that's what I found out about it when I did some research a couple of months ago. How long do you think the journey will take?

Thank you! :) I've been in London before and I think I'm gonna go to Cornwall first. When I do the trip in (most likely) 2012 I will probably have a car. So I might aswell go by car. However that's possibly not as much fun as traveling by train or backpacking. Thank you for the link, it really helps a lot. I wish I could go right now, haha. On the other hand... there's so much to arrange before leaving.
