let us take a moment from earth day celebrations to heed this thread. if you would, please don now your tree hugging chains, and wrap your mind around a portion of the oodles of varied wonders that our good planet has bestowed unto us throughout mankind's journey from antiquity to the present. what are you most grateful for today? do tell, and show the world your gratitude; the only thing that we can truly give back.

I had a lovely walk home from school today, through the footpaths and the fields in the sunshine, with blossoming bushes either side of me, and starlings singing... it was peaceful and lovely.
Obviously I voted tea though.

Dazzling northern lights!! I would've preferred to vote for "the ethereal peaks", or any eloquently stated option for mountains, but aurorae ain't bad.
I think this is my favourite planet.

I voted for sea! I considered going for northern lights, but I haven't actually seen them so it seemed disingenuous.
I like also that this planet has produced people.

Oh, I really like the sea as well, and lakes and rivers. I'm also a fan of birds, especially ducks. But yeah, tea.

I think this is my favourite planet. i understand. boiling the earth down into a few adjective-noun combos is no easy task, but i think, overall, it came out alright. it's interesting though. in the grand scheme of things, the earth isn't much more than lint in your trousers. similar in importance as that of a zygote, or something even less worthy of a comparison. but, on the other hand, it's surprising how the earth is approximately a 3rd of the age of the universe. nothing to sniff at. sure, it's shrimpy, but we're also fortunate to have god on our side.

That big rock in central park and viridian forestExalt! I was stuck between the aurora and the seas. Then I saw that tea was an option, and all other considerations were forgot. Lush.

i voted the inspirational floating duck/soaring eagle cause thats what life is about, isnt it - darwinism. somethings are lame, easy targets, and somethings are beautiful, predators.
also this morning i sat near a seagull on my roof and wanted badly to stroke its chest and ducks/eagles are like seagulls.
and also eagles = america, so yeah

btw, i'm dumbfounded at the lack of love thus far for the breads, rices, and cocoa pebbleses of the world.
edit: 'stunned' didn't cut it.

I like also that this planet has produced people. Most important post of the thread. But I vote for the seas because this planet wouldn’t sustain life if not for good-ole’ H2O! (well, it might, but it would be a very different form of life than the one we know)

i voted northern lights, because they're beautiful without purpose (as far as i know) and i think that's quite appropriate.
i'm also having a love affair with the sea though. i feel close to nature, just not the icky parts.

I fucking love chicken.
sea was a close second, as was wildernes. But come on, i'd be living a fully depressing life without chicken.

I chose the atmosphere, because it is a rather clever contraption.
