Listening to her new triple (!!!) album now. Move over arty muso pretenders, the head bitch is BACK.
Erm.. yeah. One of the very few artists who the prospect of listening to for the duration of a triple album is actually an intriguing and enticing prospect rather than cause for much hand wringing and face palming.
Only about half way though the first disc right now.. seeming more gentle and pretty than Ys, less epic.

I loved Ys, but a triple album is just a no, for me. That's a freaking boxed set. Come on now, Joanna, what possible artistic justification is there for three discs at once?
HOWEVER... I'm sure I'll love it anyway. I tend to, with her. Glad to hear the quality is good so far!

Hmm it isn't what I was expecting. Three discs of very gentle, hushed music with a lack of really "grab you by the balls" stand outs thus far. It still needs to grrrooww.

I agree. It's a bit too much of the same and even more so since a lot of the songs are really long. So far only Good Intentions Paving Company and California has managed to make me want to listen more. Definitely not a BAD collection of songs, just... Slow.
A single or double disc set would have been enough.
