when i say london i mean central i don't believe anything outside of halfway into zone 2 is actually london. it always makes me laugh at uni when people are like "i live in london!!!" and i'm like "no, you live in EALING" I know a girl who moved to Northampton from 'London'. Turns out she's from Surrey.

^^ Hmm, fair enough... I guess I'd consider Ealing as West London, I wouldn't really know what else to call it I'm geographically challenged ;D Yes, yes, everyone hates the Surreyfolk... which is fine, I hate us too

But there are two general reponses that I get, when I say I like pw: "wtf is a patrick wolf?" or "YOU'RE A DIRTY HIPSTER WHO LIKES STUPID HIPSTER MUSIC." In the majority of cases I get this "wft is a patrick wolf?"-response, too. It only happend three times in my everyday life till now that the one I was talking to knew him and liked him. Last year at a party for art students I asked if they also had Patrick Wolf music on their laptop and they said "yes, of course! we often listen to him." Then we heard Accident&Emergency, danced like complete idiots and screamed the lyrics out loud. People around us (who don't know Patrick) had faces saying "wtf is going on?!". That was a lot of fun

Well, that must have been fun . In brooklyn, new york a lot a people listen to rap, reggaeton, r&b and if not that, it's hard rock. So when I do explain who Patrick Wolf is, they say something like "ur a fag. i h8 ur type"

Ahh, in Cornwall, all the "cool teenagers" listen to hardcore club music. Anything not in the charts, or involving only intruments is unheard of. We also have a helluva lot of metal fans. Alas, neither of these musics particularly appeal to me and people tend to judge me on that.

^^ Me too, but mine is not identical... just sort of 'based-on..' but it does look pretty close to it.
I think there's a difference between getting a tattoo because you genuinely want to and it is done for yourself, etc.. rather than getting one because you think it will be cool and showing it to everyone and blah blah. Or showing the artist! That seems a bit crazy-fansih. But to each their own, and I'll stop rambling now.

Thats cool! I like that it isn't identical. Mine is, but the beak is red on mine.
I totally agree with you!

stereotypically, I would say we are effeminate feminists, regardless of gender.
I think 2007 maybe bred some stereotypes. I'm very much over glitter. And sequins, they are everywhere now. I should really hoover OLOLOLOL

I think music often forgets Cornwall exists. I can't think of any big music venues there. Truer words were never said. (Well they were. But not the point.) Some bands occasionally play at Princess Pavilion, in Falmouth, which is pretty small really. I'm sure they must see some romance to playing a gig in Cornwall or something. Or maybe not - it's mostly metal. Other than that, the nearest "big" venue is Plymouth. And that's not even in Cornwall, it's in Devon. It kinda sucks. :/ However, I'm hoping Patrick will play here sometime, considering he writes so many songs relating to Cornwall. One can but hope.

In the summer there are the Eden Sessions at the Eden Project as well but that's still in the middle of nowhere and the bands who play are usually pretty mainstream. Are you a Falmouth person then? My dad grew up there so I know the place very well from multiple summer visits!

It counts as a city, because it has a Cathedral, but it's more like a town, to be honest.

Ah yes I know Truro pretty well too. It's one of my favourite places to go in Cornwall mainly because it has things there!

It's just not a super rich, high rise buildings like in many parts of central London. But the atmosphere is definitely London. And that's zone 3.

Yeah, I'm in Surbiton in zone 6, so when I moved to uni I was quite excited about "living in London." Now I realise Surbiton is definitley not London! I was talking to my friend a few days ago I told her I went into London at the weekend and she laughed and said "Well yeah, you do live there," and it angered me how wrong she was.

When I finish uni I want to MOVE TO THE COAST. Like. I don't know, somewhere near the coast but near London. It's so much cheaper as well. Totally off topic to 'fan stereotypes.' Or is it? Do Patrick Wolf fans love 'the coast'?
