next single after hard times?

i think it would need nice to have a slower song for the next single. Damarus would be awesome, and even Theseus. My new fave song now is Blackdown, tho doesn't really sound like a "single" song.

And also... i want more b-sides, i LOVED the b-sides to Wind In The Wires album "Penzance" (my all time fave) and "Ari's Song" from A&E.

I agree with you that the story of Theseus would be an epic one to see made and brought to life. I wonder though if it would be possible on a limited budget, but either way i think the song is fantastic and i would love to own it as a single.

And thank you! I literally just changed it, been a big fan since the first issue came out! Oober cyber hi-5 heading your way, and have an exalt too! Thats my fave issue too. haha.

Oh, and ZombiesAteMyCow, i too think Oblivion would be good to see brought to life, i wonder if he could rope Tilda in to feature in that or Theseus. Hmm.

I'd love to see Thickets as a single! It's my favourite song on the album....
Or Damaris (although it's a little long for a single?)
Or THE BACHELOR! I think it would make a great video, too.

And I agree about b-sides! I got all excited when there was that little error on the rough trade that an imaginary track called 'bloody chamber' would be the b-side to Hard Times
Plus The Tinderbox is amazing so I can only imagine anything else in the realm of this album will also be...

I agree Victoria, i too was dissapointed. Infact, i think it would have been nice to add a rough demo for a song from The Conquerer and get some interest building (but secretly i only say that because its something i would like, not that it would be of any greater good at all).

I must say though that i love the TSIOU demo. Shame that wasn't on the 7" instead of the remix but either way its good to have.

EDIT: Now you come to mention it, maybe Theseus would be a little long too, although i'm sure if that was the case a nice little radio edit would be made. I can be optimistic.

Its funny you say that. I do Film & TV production and everytime i hear a song i always think of a music video to go along with it, especially with PW as his songs create such an atmosphere and story. ;D

Err... I think Oblivion would be an awesome single and also make for an awesome video, but it would be nice for the next one to be a slower song... Of those I'm thinking Theseus or The Bachelor would be the best choices. A video for Damaris would be AMAZINGLY EPIC AND DRAMATIC but I think maybe too much so to make for a good single (though of course I'd love it).

Theseaus would be a cool video if it was released as a single. Maybe he'll do a slow single now since hard times & vulture were both very dance-y. If he stays like that though it may be Battle?

Oblivion would probably make a better video, you could have a split personality Patrick. One weak in a dark room, the other confidently striding into battle with all this death around him. Then he dies at the end saying "I need no one".


I always would have liked to have made a video for "this weather". Its such an epic song. Never going to happen *sighs*
