The BBC nowadays seem to be using rather a lot of Patrick Wolf stuff. Last night (I think) they used the beginning of "overture" on "Famous, Rich, and homeless". It was nice, and really fitted the show for some reason..
Also, they're using the magic position music in rather a lot of BBC "adverts".
I just thought I'd start a thread about the magic position songs being used in media.

In Gavin & Stacey when Gavin and Smithy were driving to see Nessa have the baby, they played Magic Position. Made me all happy when we watched that episode.

I saw "Run, Fatboy, Run" because Magic Position was in the soundtrack. Turned out being a really cute movie, haha.

I went to see 'Definitely, Maybe' because 'The Magic Position' was on the trailer! And then it wasn't actually in the film, gutted!

Run Fat Boy Run makes me laugh... The blister thing... It's so disgusting, but so horribly funny at the same time.
Saw a BBC advert for Open University which had Magic Position in the background. Made me grin from ear to ear. :]

Apparently The Magic Position is in this movie:
I haven't seen it but my friend told me. Apparently it's a good movie, anyway.

OT, but that movie looks AWESOME. ETA: Were The World Mine -- Just watched it. It was kinda cheesy and a bit heavy-handed, in many ways completely ridiculous, but fun in a camptastic, don't-take-it-too-seriously way. TMP features briefly in the film itself and also starts the credits sequence and takes up most of it, which I wasn't expecting. I'd say watch it if you like a bit of semi-political low-budget silliness (and boys kissing ), but don't get too wrapped up in the flawed moral message it tries to shove out there. Sorry, done being a film critic now.

The original songs were pretty good, but the story was a bit silly.

ooh that film looks fairly good. I might rent it (don't worry..I wont buy it). The start of it reminded me of a High School Musical part..in fact...it was almost exactly the same. *frightening*
