I am going asap for my tattoo....the ever-so-popular Wind in the Wires bird on my left shoulder blade ("back shoulder-area thing" haha)

This girl in my math class got her boyfriend's name tattooed on the back of her neck... HOWEVER, a friend of my mom's got a massive portrait of Abe Lincoln on her right shoulder, and it is the freaking sweetest thing I've ever seen. She also has the pirate ship from The Goonies on her thigh. She is truely hardcore. And personally, I think if you REALLY wanna get a Potter-related inking, you gotta go for the Dark Mark. It's the only way to do it, man. I really like candelia and Melba's tattoos so very much, they're so pretty. I'm thinking of getting a butterfly somewhere... either on my left should blade or under the left clavicle. I enjoy Mimic's Latin idea... I kind of want to get something really stupid in some weird language. Like Old English. Something like "I have a cat in my pants". In Old English. Around my right shoulder/arm or something. Hmm. I need to think of better phrases though.

i kind of want "let no foot mark your ground, let no hand hold you down" tattooed on my foot. on the arch of my foot, kind of small. and a heart on my hip. my left hip. what are the price ranges for tattoos, anyways? my friend and i trying to find a decent place to get one done, but they all seem really sketchy and the most decent looking one couldn't even spell "tattoo" right. but yeah, i got to wait for IDs to come first.

If you feel like a small hike to Baltimore, I hear the Baltimore Tattoo Museum is good. I'd like to recommend Saints and Sinners in Fells Point, because I played at one of the artist's wedding, and he did his own and his wife's and a good many of the guests and they all looked very nice. And if you want to get some quality work but not the hep, you're going to have to pay for it.

I'm thinking of getting a small not-so-elaborate feather quill on either my right wrist over the vein, on the top of my right foot close to my pinky toe, or just below my right knee to the side of my shin bone. Hmmm...

I have three small (and I mean small) designs I have been mulling over for a few years.
I'll get them done sometime, but I don't want permanent scribblings on my body so deserately that I can't wait for the right time and place.
I think it's definitely important to wait. You'll have the whole of the rest of your life to admire/regret what you've done.

I was on the bus today and my friend and I passed a tattoo parlour and I was like "I wonder if there are good places around here, I've heard there are...that place looks cool" and we were just talking and this girl came from the other side of the bus and was like "I've had two tattoos done at that place and they're really good!" and she showed us them, etc...told me who she went to and such. So I'll probably go soonish for mine.

My parents are all 'How will it look when you're old and wrinkly?' about tattoos. I always reply "funny"
I am obviously highly amusing

you don't get them in places where you'll see them when you are old and wrinkly! you could always stretch them out to show how they used to look anyways...
i was on the metro a couple weeks ago and this guy had words tattooed on his cheekbones. but he didn't look like the type of guy who'd get to be 80 or any such thing, so i'm sure he didn't have much to worry about.

I tattooed my palm with a small black heart last summer, but I'm quite sure I did it wrong as all the ink faced and left this rather lopsided scar. I've heard that tattoos on your hand always sweat off anyways though, which is saddening.
I have my music-obsession tattoo already planned. It's going to be a heart with an angry face on my right shoulder, I probably have a photo of it somewhere. I would never do lyrics, though. If they faded or wrinkled it would be impossible to read and thus useless. Also, I'll ply regret liking all the bands whose lyrics I would permanently have upon myself.

haha tattoos on your palm don't sweat off, you just lose a lot of skin cells because you use your hands a lot. If you sweat off your tattoos that means they don't know what they're doing because tattoos are not supposed to be on the top layer of your skin.

Ah, well I'm sure I didn't know what I was doing when I made it, plus I was making it one-handed. Silly me.

YOU did the tattoo?

Well yes, but it isn't there anymore and I do regret trying to do it now. I mean, for about a day it looked pretty cool but clearly the whole thing was just junior high idiocy on a whim. I used to draw on my hand all the time and people would tell me, "You should just get it tattooed or something." Then I was like, "Well you know what? I will!"
Stuuupid.

Ugh. Please think long and hard before getting something Harry Potter-related permanently attached to your body. It's not like the brand isn't spraying its scent over every marketable product in the universe already. The thing is, I wont regret it. The harry potter books has meant(and still does) a lot to me.
