Will there be a third single? Shall we argue about it? I was listening to Wind in the Wires today at work, whilst bored, and decided that This Weather has a catchy enough piano (and piano works, see Coldplay) and maybe if released later in the year would have the proper ambiance to do well. Then again, Tristan...
also how are the sales for the other two singles? I imagine the next album has the most potential to move single units...

i wish their was a re-release for the libertine for america and all the rest who see it. but it would be like repeating yourself when your talking to someone. i agree this weather is a very delicate and pretty song. Though i have thoughts that if it were a single it should be recorded again for the video clip.

No word yet as to whether there's going to be a third single, although I definately think there are a few hits to be mined from Wind in the Wires - 'Tristan' being the most immediately obvious, and 'Teignmouth' definately has potential...
We shall see.

Both 'Tristan' and 'Teignmouth' would be excelent choices for a possible third single.
Not to sure about 'This Weather'. As beautiful as that song may be, i personally dont think it would grab the attention of the single buying public!

I agree that Teignmouth would be a good candidate for the next single, personally i think its one of the best songs on the album and does give a good representation of what Wind in the wires is about.
I was listening to The Railway-house earlier and i think that could work as a single; it's short, simple and sweet.
This weather is a beautiful song but i dunno, it just doesn't strike me as a song that would work well as a single.

...is tristan. will be released on 31st october. and i think it's the right song for the single, because no other song is as... i don't know...suitable??? i mean my brother don't like patrick's music very much, but he likes tristan.

I'm going to go in an entirely different direction here and say Landsend. I think its a really catchy song and musically appealing to people with a different appetence to different styles of music

Tristan wasalready released as the 3rd Single. And I don't think there'll be another. Land's End would have been a nice single though...

absolutely. i would love him to release "this weather" as the next single. the Samhain Spooktacular put a full stop on the Wind In The Wires chapter... It brought Tristan to life and he is now living a life of its own in playlists all over the world. There will be NO MORE single from that album. Though, I must admit "This Weather" could have been a very well suited song for the dance floors... But since all the songs were available on vinyl, it's not totally impossible that somewhere, some people have been dancing on it from dusk til dawn. Patrick Wolf has started his creative hibernation* period and he is in gestation now, allowing this new album he's had in his bloodstream for several months to form. The echography he showed so far are those of a healthy baby, as did the amniocenteses. And to the colour that should be painted over the wall of the bedroom: it won't be blue, nor will it be pink, but it should be the whole pallet of the rainbow and beyond, turning the prism in all directions to catch the light in every way and use its full potential! But I have now idea how long this might take. We'll have to be patient and wait for him and the teamwolf to keep us informed and help us go through this winter safe and warm... And the messageboard won't be hibernating! There'll be things to come! Each of us is running through their archives, looking for what might not have yet been shared with you all. We're also getting organized on the videos Patrick Wolf has shot so far. So: stay tuned and awake! * strange he's calling this time "hibernation", since hibernating mainly consist of sleeping, but oh well...

It's so confi to know you're there holding all the threads... Thanks. The expectations obviously are high, but the thrill goes with it... I hope Patrick will continue to be kissed by the muses! In the meantime we'll remain "in tune"...
