I must admit, it wasn't what I expected. I'd been waiting for some of Ingrid Z's trademark doodles-over-photographs (see above), with Patrick at the helm, but what turns up is a lot more stylised, and probably a lot more in keeping with the tone of the album. I especially like the picture of Patrick fiddling with the tuning pegs on his Ukelele, and the black and white tree is beautiful. Cheerio, Michael. xxx

Interesting. I can't wait for my copy to come from Darla. Any other thoughts? Are all the lyrics in the booklet? Is there a letter from Patrick in the booklet to his fans again?
Thanks for the info Michael, I'm glad at least one of the PW communities is talking about the album, you'd have thought it was any old day over in the lj community...

The thank you notes had already been posted to the official website, underneath the credits in the lyrics section, but they appear to have been taken down. He thanks his family, his management, his record company, and his friends, and then he goes on to say: The lyrics are all typed up very neatly, with the exception of the bonus track, 'The Towans', which is handwritten on the inlay. Cheerio, Michael. xxx

I agree, the artwork is great. Does anyone know where the pic in the middle is? The whole layout is a lot neater for this album, which fits it- its a more refined sound, more grown up I think. There are no spelling mistakes either! Its less energetic too, but its probably a good thing there are no Childcatchers on this one...

There are a couple of grammatical errors though - apostrophes where they shouldn't be, and no apostrophes where there should be. (The lack of an apostrophe in Jacob's Ladder patricularly annoys me!) I love both of the pictures, but I think there could be some more artwork on the lyrics pages, as they look a bit bare.
