(I'm bored at work)
How many PW shows have you been to? When/where and what Wolfpack did you meet? And what shows do you have coming up? Fave show memories?
So far I've only been to 6 shows (I know, sad for a Wolfpack member!). Maybe I'll get the dates right -
Sundark & Riverlight 2012
Sept. 20, 2012 - Joe's Pub - NYC, USA
Sept. 21, 2012 - Joe's Pub - NYC, USA
Sept. 22, 2012 - Boston Royale - Boston, MA USA
Night of Winter 2013
Dec. 18, 2013 - Oran Mor, Glasgow, Scotland
Dec. 19, 2013 - St. Philips Church, Manchester, England
Dec. 21, 2013 - Union Chapel, London, England
*best memories....
UK/Night of Winter Shows - Queuing with Cat, Eve, Rebecca, Tania, Elisa and Thomas (& everyone else I met there!)...Pizza...hot chocolate...ponchos and being asked more than once if we were homeless, Wolf Tour of London (#BermondseyBitches4Life! #PurplePonchoMafia). Manchester - Wolf in a pulpit (damn!).... Patrick being silly after Glasgow & Manchester and speaking to him properly after the London show, trying not to cry.... Rebecca & Elisa rushing to the front for Magic Position in London and everyone dancing and just overall silliness with Cat the entire trip!
Meeting PW for the first time in NYC and feeling silly for being so ridiculously shy (also met some great fans there). Knowing that Cat and Damien stayed up all night to watch the live stream of "my 1st show" made me feel super special and part of the Wolfpack (then I realized this is just normal behavior!). Too many things to list from the shows/songs/music... it was all wonderful! Night of Winter made the holidays magical again! And Patrick being one of the most sincere kind musicians I've ever met. He really goes out of his way to make everyone feel special. And the music.... I just hope we cheer him up and make him feel at least 1/1,000,000th of what he does for us. I've been to see so many bands and with Patrick I never feel like I'm watching a "show". It's really such an experience...I can't describe. It's just so raw and honest... (Anyhow, I'm rambling!).
Best random quote - "Who wants a pineapple?!?!" - Patrick Wolf
Hopefully I'll see him again soon but it's so expensive to fly from the US!! My dream is to see him in Russia or Ukraine since those shows seem so special and then I can finally meet Ennie and Sergey.
