:-*Hi! My name is Carine and I'd like to introduce myself.I live in Luxembourg+I first saw Patrick 3 months ago on Tv at the Melt Festival.I was practising some songs on my saxophone+! was recording Iggy and the Stooges at the same time from Tv.After Iggy they showed Patrick+I became interested, never heard of him before. It wasn"t so much my kind of music, but I liked this mix of music and instruments. At night I saw him at You Tube+the first video was Wind in the wires.I sat there for hours listening to his beautiful music, interviews and I just fell in love with this guy.Ordered all his Cds+I still can't believe how a person can be so cute+interesting and write such great lyrics+music! I love music, sax, books, animals, nature, the ocean,San Franciso,London... Take care and have a nice evening!

Hi Eunice! Thanks for the welcome! You like an artist from Luxembourg?Who is it?I would say Wind in the wires is my fav Cd.But I love 'em all. I just regret that I discovered Patrick so late,if I think of all the concerts I've missed...And now I got 5 Cd's together+I was listening to them night and day.My friends don't know who he is,so I give 'em all Cd's with my fav songs+I hope they'll enjoy as much as I do.Can't wait to see him live!

Hi Carine, welcome to the wolfboard I still can't believe how a person can be so cute+interesting and write such great lyrics+music! It's because he's magic I know what you mean, when I first discovered his music, I couldn't listen to anything else for months!

If my memory is correct, Brian Molko of Placebo was born in Brussels and went to school in Luxembourg. He even wrote a song about his days in Luxembourg("Burger Queen"). The lyrics are not very positive but the song is really beautiful and I'm pretty sure it's probably all Placebo fans' favorite ^^
It's great you'll never miss another Patrick show! For me, I don't think I ever see him live. He never came to Seoul(my city) and probably won't. But I really like the fact that his fanbase is quite small, even in Europe ^^
Yes, I love his second album, too! Just like you, if I had to pick just one album, it'd be WITW but like you, I really can't pick just one album, all his albums have different styles I like them all ^^
I discovered Patrick through Placebo fans, actually ^^ I became Patrick's fan quite recently like you (only a couple of months ago ^^) but it's better late than never! ^^ Happy to have found such a young talented artist! <3
Hope you see Patrick soon when he comes to your city! xx

Hi Eunice! I don't know a lot about Placebo+Brian Molko. But I'll be listening to this song,I'm curious!I can understand if the lyrics are not very positive.A lot of people here are very narrow minded+unfriendly!I don't think Patrick will play a gig in my country,so i have to travel.Wish I'd discovered him some years ago, just waiting for the next album instead of getting all his beautiful songs together.Give's so much to me.But like you said'better late than never' Attachments:

Those are two of the characters of my country, probably not Luxembourg Totally agree with you on wishing I discovered him sooner. Plus, I wish I was living at least in Japan(preferrably in Tokyo) because he's been to Japan a couple of times as far as I know. But it's ok even if I don't see him live. Whether I see him live or not, he's giving me a plenty of inspiration in many ways so I'm happy ;D Following Patrick to another country must be exciting! I wish you all the good luck and hope you have fun at his show ^^ And the photo you posted: he looks very glittery and cute^^ I saw the photo on dA. I think I faved it ^^ I'm pretty sure it's probably all Placebo fans' favorite ^^ oh no no no no no not that one Really??? Oh well, I haven't listened to Burger Queen for a while since I've been listening to Patrick non-stop ;D

Hi Niwo! Thank you!I don't think I'll see Patrick this year. The gigs are far away+my financial situation is not so good at the moment.May be next year?Hope so! A lot of people here speak 4 languages. Our own,german.french+english.But I'm not so good in english+french, for real discussions.'cause I never speak. You learn it at school, but you lose it all.I'm reading english books sometimes+watch movies in english with french subtitles, but I'm always searching for the right words if I have to talk.Sad...

Hey Eunice! We all love Patrick here, but we have a lot of other favourite bands+singers. That's great!I was a teenager in the 70ties,so it started with Glam.Later it was Hippie,Punk,Gothic,Alternative,Grunge...I still love a lot of the old stuff I was into.Doesn't matter if other people like it or not as long as it touches you.I started to play saxophone 4 years ago+I'm going to Jazz concerts too...Music means everything for me,it just depends on my mood what I'm listening to.

Yep, that's true, we have many fav. musicians besides Patrick ^^ Going to Jazz concerts! I like Jazz, too ^^ Not that I know many names(musicians/songs) but I like Jazz <3 4 years! You must be very good at playing saxophone!
I hadn't listened to music for a few years then started listening to music again about 2 years ago. It's good that music became part of my life again ^^ Enjoy your Patrick albums! ^_^

Always regretted that I couldn't play an instrument, tried guitar 20 years ago,but I gave it up.A friend gave me a saxophone 4 years ago+I went to a music school for 2 years+now I take lessons once a week.Really enjoy playing, but it's not easy if you start as an adult, there'a lot of things I have to learn! I enjoy my Patrick allbums, got some of his singles, but I hope to find some more, the b_sides are so beautiful, too!

oh i know, i even knew a few sentences in lëtzebuergesch when i was there, but forgot again of course. somehow ppl in restaurants and shops always spoke french to me, so i replied with my craptastic school-french and added german and english words it was always such a funny form of awkward i learned to play piano and guitar when i was a kid but stopped when i became a grumpy teenager. now i regret it of course cause i can't play anything anymore #fail

Yeah, that's a problem,we can't use our language in shops+restaurants, everybody speaks french. And they don't understand any other language. My saxophone teacher is french, but I'm lucky he speaks other languages too,I try to talk french because it's a good opportunity to learn. Wish I could play piano! You can always try again if you really want to!A lot of kids learn an instrument because their parents want to+later they stop playing. But it's never too late.I thought a was a fool to try at my age.I couldn't read a note and it was heard to pass the exams at school.I know I'll never be a great musician, but I enjoy playing!
