Ooh ♥ that sounds really nice. Oh my, that sounds really interesting! C: I think you should go for it if you're interested.
Yeah, but it's not like I can brag about knowing Russian, Spanish and German - I don't. But they're nice languages. : ) True. You've studied Latin? ♥ I really wanted to study it too but it's not possible in my area.

Ohh, Russian! I'd love to know Russian! I once could read it - I mean I knew what the "letters" standed for but I had no idea what I was saying!
I've studied French for 2 yead but I don't remember much. Only the basic stuff. And oh yeah, most important of all: Il est dans ma poche! And: Je déteste les olives noires. (Did I make any mistakes? I know how to pronounce it but I can't remember how to write it.)
Those are the only things I remember from the schoolbooks. :--D I think I'll manage well with those sentences: We are going in Paris in a month, woo! I can say to everyone that "It's in my pocket!" and confuse them all. And just complain about black olives even though I'm not eating any. Hahaha! I'd love to know more French but I didn't have the time for it because of art and math courses... Oh wait, I used to study also Japanese during my... ehm... fan phase. Shhhh! It's a secret!
And yup, glumbumble (oh god I'm having hard time writing that correctly): if it sounds interesting, you should go for it! It's better to at least give it a go than regret it afterward! (Obvious words of wisdom, yeaaahhh.)

Those were properly written yep! Just: C'est dans ma poche = it is in my pocket. French is so hard, I don't know how people can learn it when they haven't grown up in France XD. It's so confusing and there's so many exceptions and whatnot, Spanish is so easy compared to it!
Latin was a paiiiiin, because I was so bad at translating. But the parts where we talked about civilisation were very fun.

French IS very hard! I was having so much difficulties with all the different forms and such! I remember when we were learning how to form past tense it took about 15 minutes to form one sentence. Pfft!
And speaking of learning languages: I can't understand how anyone can learn Finnish. I mean it's just impossible! Even I don't know how to speak it.
But the most difficult thing with languages is that the spoken language differs very much from the written language, at least in Finland. Let's give an example! Yaay! Everyone loves examples!
The written form: "Tuletko sinä minun kanssani?" (Will you come with me?) But then! The way I'd say it: "Tuutsä mun kaa?"
I mean, come on!
I was having so much difficulties with spoken French as well. I had no idea where the previous word ends and the next starts. It sounded like it was one huge word. :--D Oh and same with Swedish!
Edit: By the way, I love how this conversation just keeps on going! :--)

My god, you've been spamming when I was away! :---D ♥ Let's only speak English from now on, ok? : ) Illusion: I'm proud of you, you know French! I once visited Paris and only spoke English. :'D I studied Japanese too, it was back in junior high when I was all hyped up about Japanese stuff. : D Aa joo, no mutta eiköhän siihen totu. Tiedätkö, mussakin on vähän kontrollifriikin vikaa, ainakin joissain asioissa. :--D Apua, kohta kumminkin paljastuu että sä olet joku mun kaksonen kun tuntuu olevan pari samankaltaisuutta. You sure, glumbumble? Spanish seemed quite complicated to me :'D. I can't say anything about French though (except that it's a LOVELY language, so beautiful ♥♥), because I haven't studied it at all. And Latin is nice, though I can imagine it's a hard subject to study. And gosh, translating is hard! I'm gonna study to become a translator and yet I'm kinda bad at it. :'D Bad career choice... Ooh, Illusion, I agree with you! It's totally impossible to master the Finnish language! My Mom is Swedish and she's been studying Finnish for 15 years and still can't speak Finnish properly. And I can't speak it either :--D my mothertongue skills just suck. Indeed. You know I totally agree with you (again ), 'cause spoken Finnish is so different than the written one. But I feel kinda proud that I can speak Finnish fluently (*cough*) since it's such a hard language to master! Me too! I'm all giddy because this conversation keeps going on ♥♥ It's really fun to discuss with you! By the way, do you guys have a Facebook? Or a Deviantart? 'Cause if you do, I'd love to add you. : )

I have both, yes. But I don't use DeviantArt much anymore since I kind of got bored of it. :--D I mainly use tumblr for artsy-fartsy nowadays. But I can pm you my facebook account, woo woo! (Why do I always say "woo"? ... Woo!)
Oh thanks, sei, but I really can't remember that much!
...You were a Japan fan as well... Similarities, will they ever stop! :--D I mean this is just weird and fascinating at the same time. I'm starting to believe this "there's an identical person for everyone" theory.
Oh wouldn't it be nice if one could master any language in the world just like that? It would be so easy to travel around the world (which I want to do some day)!

Yay! I added you only seconds ago : D! Yeah but that's still better than not knowing anything. : ) Me too. Yep, I was a Japan fan until um... well I still cosplayed last year but my biggest fandoms were back in 9th grade. I still like some series but I can't consider my self a Japanophile anymore. And by the way, I also like Miyazaki's films (who doesn't?), Granada Holmes and Mighty Boosh (yes I stalked you on FB 8D). This is really fascinating. : D But we've got one difference, you're an artist and I'm not (I prefer music and singing ). Oh gosh yes! 8) That'd be so lovely! And to travel around the world, I'd love to do that too since I'm interested in different cultures and history. : )

This is like, the most active thread on the Wolfboard lol XD. My tumblr: glum-bumble.tumblr.comWell, Spanish was easy for me XD. It's very similar to Latin, and I already spoke French and English fluently! Like, Spanish is always the same thing. Tengo, tienes tiene tenemos teneis tienen....always the same things for each "person" and some exceptions. Once you know them it's not difficult. The most difficult is getting vocabulary, which was hard because of the lack of oral practice in class, and only 3 hours of class per week.

Glumbumble, it is! And that's pretty awesome! Yay! I shall follow you on tumblr as soon as I remember my tumblr account and password :'D fail, I know. Yep, you had a good base for learning Spanish. Really? Well I never got that far I never finished course one. You didn't have oral practice at all? : O That's really crappy, 'cause oral skills are just as important as grammar and vocabulary. I just need to tell you that I LOVE this thread! It makes me happy : D ♥

Thanks for following We did practice it in class but there wasn't enough time to get enough vocabulary. Not to mention the teacher I had the first 2 years was really bad and therefore I made no effort to learn anything more XD.

You're welcome! I finally remembered my account and password! Yay! And am following you now. Oh, that's not good. : ( You had a bad teacher? Haha you know, I made no effort in studying the past two years in high school 8D that's why my grades suck. xD

Ahh, bad teachers... My French teacher wasn't actually a good one and maybe that's why it was so hard to learn the language (or then I'm just blaming her because I was too lazy to try). She was very nice and fun and had a great sence of humour but we never really studied. We just mainly chatted. :--D

Pfft that sounds like she was a great person but a lousy teacher :--D I had one of those too in elementary school, he was my class teacher for four years. xD It's not like we actually learned anything and it caused trouble in junior high. Oh well...

So, how did your Swedish go, sei? :--D
I don't really know... I think it was pretty average. Some parts were VERY tricky and I didn't have any idea what it said but other parts were easier. That text about the disadvantages for being born in the end of the year was interesting!
I'm not sure if you had the same excercises, but I think you did? Only with more options maybe. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Ahahahahahaha the hotel-exercise! I wrote something so beautiful I'm sure it will make the sensor cry (...in a bad way). :--DD
Swedish is hard! Or maybe it's because of me and not because of the language... But I mean there are some very odd sentences which would make no sence in any other language (or in Swedish either - if I'm trying to figure the sentence out.) There's like many verbs, one after the other and just... I don't know!
Hmm, speaking of verbs being all weird: Isn't it so that in German all the verbs are in the end of the sentence! Like: I there so I a new book go can buy. :---D Okay now some German speaker can correct me. My father was just explaining that to me the other day.
I'd like to know German. :--I
Edit (in Finnish, sorry. Just some exam stuff!): Joo siis se oli tekstitaito, josta sain 3 pistettä. En vaan yhtään tiennyt, miten sanoa "tekstitaidon koe" englanniksi, joten laitoin essee. Yritin kyllä sillä tuoda sitä esille, kun sanoin, että "kolmesta esseestä huonoin" -> tekstitaitoja tehdään kolme. Mut joo, ehkä olin epäselvä! Esseen alustavat pisteet tulee varmaan viikon, parin sisään. Tosiaan tekstitaidosta sain 4, 3, 3, mikä harmittaa todella paljon, kun prelistä sain 5, 5, 4! :--S

I totally rocked! 8D Well no, but it went really well (not perfectly though) and I'm expecting E! *glee* 'Cause I understood everything and I think my essay was kinda flawless. C:
Yeah I heard some mixed opinions from my friend, one said it was absolutely horrible and the other one said it was okay. Hmm I took the A Swedish test so I didn't have the same exam, mine was probably a lot trickier and harder. : D
You know, it's really really really hard for me to say since I'm a native speaker, but umm.. :'D I think it's easy (obviously) but some of my friends who are good in English are average or bad in Swedish. So maybe it's just a hard language to learn.
No clue, I only studied one course and I can't remember a thing, well beside how to say 'the biggest church in Germany' :--D Me too, I'd like to try again since German sounds so interesting! It's not a pretty language but a very interesting one.
(Exam stuff again, Finnish only): Ah joo, no mutta hei tuo on ihan LOISTAVA tulos! Vaikka uskon kyllä että harmittaa jos sait noin hyvät prelistä. No mä sain niistä kaikista yhteensä kuusi pistettä että heheheh :--D ja esseestä 35 pistettä, mutta no joo so what äikkä on läpi!

Ohh, sei! Nice to hear that you did so well! :--)
Ah ja kiitos, vaikka itseäni vähän harmittaa.. Mutta ei voi mitään! Ja onnea sulle kans! Millonhan meille tulis esseen alustavat tulokset...
Ja kivat, andy! Toi on jo todella hyvin. Ikävä kyllä meidän ruotsinope sanoi arvostelevansa kokeet yläkanttiin... joten jos jotain, ne varmaan laskee. No, aina voi toivoa, että sensori olisi hyvällä tuulella.
Reilu ruotsinope sulla kyllä. |:--I
