I was in several drug stores today and all they had was stuff like gingko, amber, valerian, vitamins of all kinds, iodine, magnesium, iron various herbal teas and so on. no rhodiola. I could order it online. How much did you pay for it? It seems to be no bargrain.
drinking water is so important! (and it can help to clear the skin)

It was I think £8 for 60 tablets, which for me would last more than two months. So fairly cheap, ish.
And, Jay, why not spend a fair about on fruit and vegetables, make yourself some juices. I know vegetable juice tastes a bit weird, or the thought of it for me is odd but I do it sometimes and it just makes you feel lots better. I never drink fizzy drinks, which I think is good. Occasionally I crave coke though, those adverts sometimes make you feel SO THIRSTY.

TELL ME ABOUT IT. fizzy drinks don't even quench thirst but i'm so so addicted to the sensation/taste of cold cherry coke......ungh.
i wish i had the money to spend a "fair amount" on fruit and veg to make juice. maybe when i get a job, haha.

Haha I love that I wrote 'fair about' but you were kind enough to quote me saying 'fair amount' my hands don't type what's in my head sometimes, auto pilot. Yeah I know what you mean, something about it makes you feel refreshed but then comes the feeling of dirty teeth and burpies. And yeah, it is actually disgusting that fruit and vegetables are expensive. I hardly ever used to buy them, but now I've taken to eating less, but more good stuff, and making my own bread in my breadmaker. So I guess in a way I save money. But it's easier to just buy something that is unhealthy and makes you feel full quicker. OH LIFE

I take 5-HTP which is a protein (I think) but it promotes serotonin production, and I use it for calmer sleep.

100 tablets of rhodiola rosea arrived today.
I took one around 1pm and I still have a taste of hay in my mouth.

Let us know how you get on Romi!! These rhodiola rosea tablets do sound really good, i often get stressed and really depressed but never for long enough to see a doctor for anything else, although my mum takes anti-depressants. They seem quite expensive though.. how often do you take them? I found 30 for £7.25 , not too bad.

Oh, the insomnia I have was actually from stress, so don't worry! When I first took Rhodiola, I did feel odd for a few days, but it takes a while for your body to adjust to it, and you might feel a bit overstimulated at first, and make you feel a bit irritable. But, I've been having a lot of late nights this week because my dissertation is due on Friday - I take one Rhodiola in the morning, and I get a 6pm hyperactivity burst, where I literally can't stop laughing. Probably a combination of stimulated brain and a break from all my concentration, but I feel happy so it's not exactly a bad thing. I don't take it when I don't really need to 'think' like when I'm going to work (haha) because I don't want to get used to taking them or lose the effect. Little tip for you
