Back in the B+B. OMG, the most amazing night ever. Was queueing for over 2 hours and chatting to some nice people including 'Kayleigh' + 'GasolineRainbow' from on here very briefly Patrick casually walked in then around 7:30 with a cute little humble wave. we weren't left in for ages which didn't bother me as I was just delighted to be in the queue at all but everyone was getting fair ratty behind us :/ Anyways was eventually left in and orgasmed over all the new merchandise as well as some hidden gems Was up the front right in front of Patrick's keyboard, the band were crammed on to the stage! The show was AMAZING!!! Patrick was on fire, vocally + physically. Hs relatives were there. He came off the stage twice and was dancing in the stalls with people. Waited around for a long time afterwards but he came out and was very obliging with the few of us that waited, signing Vinyl's and taking Photo's. When it was my turn to talk I asked him did he recognise me from twitter (as he's following me and replied twice, not to mention I tweet him like 14 times a day) and when he heard the username he was like ''Oh Yes! I love you, you're amazing, you're so passionate, what's your first real name and I was like 'Damien' and I got a photo taken with him. New avatar much!! It was actually the highlight of my life, I wanted to cry I couldn't have had a better first time not only seeing but meeting Patrick Will upload a few pics here and the SET LIST below them if anyone's interested: WARNING! SETLIST (Potential Spoilers): Armistice Time Of My Life Bluebells Wind In The Wires The Libertine The Bachelor Tristan Vulture The Days Who Will? Together Damaris Encore The City Magic Position

ewwww, dont like the set much. No House? No Blackdown? Starting with Armistice? Too many downbeat Paddy at the piano numbers. I'm going, but not looking forward to it anywhere near as much as I could/should be. :-(

Aaaw I loved reading that Only thing: how long did he take exactly to come out? I waited until 1am last time (and the concert lasted until 10.30 or 11 maximum) and we couldn't even speak properly to him, it was all rushed.

He wanted to spend time with his family so he didn't wait around too long but was very friendly the gig finished at 11:30 I think, maybe I'm wrong but it was fairly late.

Lucky youu. In Paris it's getting a bit tricky to have concerts and stuff in certain neighbourhoods because the neighbours complain so much about the noise, so most venues have strict curfews. Almost all the concerts I've gone to in Paris finished around 10.30-11

OMG I've just discovered this thread and I couldn't believe it when I saw your photo with PW! Last Thursday I wrote in my diary:
'Thought about sending PW a Happy St.Patrick's tweet but schizoeclectic beat me to it. And PW thanked him for reminding him! How jealous. But I wouldn't have done it anyway.'
And now I've just got home only to realize I was standing right in front of you in the queue outside sugar club! It's such a coincidence I couldn't help telling you. It made me laugh even though I'm sad knowing I won't ever see him live again.
I was there when he told you 'you're amazing' and I remember it so clearly too.

I'm very observent so tell me what were you wearing, what you look like and I'll know then who you were I probably did your head in blabbing on and on in the queue hehe. Well what he was 'thanking me for' on twitter was just me telling him that 'Freshly Squeezed' was on that morning As well as returning the Happy St Patrick's Day message Yeah I wasn't going to say anything to him just ask for a picture but then I just thought I might never get this opportunity again x

You've changed your picture?! It was lovely! Well I'm from Malta but please don't think it's typical for a Maltese person to be this weird. I'm a Cancerian with a Moon in Cancer and that's where the hyper-emo thing comes from (though I'm usually sane, quiet and happy). All back to normal now! Anyway I do have FB and Twitter (jeanettefarfett) accounts but I don't use them at all. I only used my FB once this year and guess why: www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=144107335643474&topic=94Do you want to hear a surreal full circle story? I discovered PW on 10/01/10. The following week I went to talk to my ex-manager to see if I could get my job (i.e. my life) back. He suddenly told me 'If it's what you want, then it's great you're not giving up. Look at this hand (he was born with missing fingers). Did you know that I went on to become the Director of the National Orchestra in spite of this?' Then a few days later I was at 'work' doing some PW research and thought I'd google Victoria Sutherland. The first result I got was that she had played with the same orchestra till 2003! Here in tiny Malta out of all places. My ex-manager and PW's first violinist had been colleagues! It was all thanks to The Magic Position that I finally found the guts to face my ex-manager and look what I got. My life back in my hands and a magical little bonus. Well I'll leave you alone now and I'm sorry I've been so much trouble. Thanks for the therapy and all your time and patience.

This gig was my first time seeing him live and it was soooooooooooooo much fun! ;D The long wait out on the street was defiintely worth it. My brother, his friends and I were sitting on the couch at the very back right-hand corner (as you look up from the stage), which was also next to the sound mixing desk so my brother was able to get a very good look at the setlist. When Patrick navigated through the audience and stood up on the couch during 'The City' he was actually standing on the couch that was directly in front of ours! ;D I saw yesterday that he's playing 'The Academy' in October so I'm definitely going to get a ticket for that!

The gig was pretty up-tempo, despite seeming pretty downbeat from the setlist. Quite enrapturing too, stared at the band like something on day release. Deffo going to pick up Academy tickets this week.
